Sticks Just Right
Sprays out of the can with a perfect web-like consistency on the headliner surface. Like the pros use. Wait a few minutes for it to get tacky and fold the cloth over. Easy to use. I was afraid the headliner board would be too smooth to adhere the cloth but this stuff worked like a charm.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW! THAT THEY DON'T TELL YOU, BEFORE USING:
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW! THAT THEY DON'T TELL YOU, BEFORE USING so it sticks well:I believe likely that this is what causes the bad reviews/failures because:This 5426 adhesive failed me on a headliner BUT I discovered it's because the instructions on the can are too brief and misleading.I found that some of same cans I bought, the instructions were slightly different/better.My first headliner didn't hold well and came down days after, Because I didn't wait long enough before bonding the 2 surfaces. In fact some of its wetness bleed through when pressed, creating ugly hard fabric blotches. The instructions say to bond when tacky, yet another says to wait at least 5-30 minutes between coats and before bonding. You Must apply 2 to 3 coats, it says on both mating surfaces and I had great luck the second job, waiting 10 minutes between coats and after the last coat before bonding in very hot sunny weather. It's startling because after 10 minutes, the surface isn't tacky much anymore leading one to believe they didn't bond soon enough. This belief caused me to bond too soon and fail on my first job.BUT this stuff actually starts to "courtship" with the other mating surface after you put them together, even though they seem dry, kind of slowly, especially after you press them with your hand, once you are happy with the placement, into a strong marriage, the chemistry is set in motion is how I like to think about it.Which is good so you might maybe be able to reposition some if needed if careful.Next time, I want to wait more than 10 minutes drying time, like 20-25 min., and see if it still bonds strong and perhaps allows even more repositioning if needed, that would help assure a great job.PSI used paint thinner to clean up any over spray.Be sure to turn and spray the can upside down when all done, to clear the nozzle so it'll work for next time.Headliner fabric requires the thin attached foam so the glue doesn't bleed through the thin fabric. The same foam that crumbles over the decades and fails eventually.I don't think this would work well to attach just a thin fabric without pre-attached foam, although if not sprayed too closely it might not bleed through before drying. The spray comes out like a snotty cobweb, it's great.Take care

Adhesion
Used with the liner I purchased through here. Easy to use, adhered well. Hope it stays up for a good long time. Too soon to tell how long it will stay up.

Good Stuff So Far
As with any headliner adhesive. only time will tell but it went on well and u was able to install a layer of felt on my headliner smoothly and it seemed to bond quite well. (See before and after pictures above).

Disappointed
The fabric was falling so quickly we found a great priced repair. I’m disappointed my normal return has been shortened on almost all items.

works great
Used this to mount some new carpet on my headliner in my Ford Truck. Then the truck broke down on the side of the road a few weeks later but at least the headliner looked fantabulous... Traded the truck in and the liner was still looking good when I got rid of it. Great product!

Great hold
This product has super hold. You are only able to move the headliner for about 30 seconds so you have to get it right. I refinished a vw beetle headliner. It came out really well.

Ok product
It works ok. Initially , however was quite messy despite care. Part of headliner became unstuck.

Not worth the money
This Glue is expensive and you nbeed 2 or 3 cans to do a single headliner properly. It also doesnt last very long after 2 months I had to remove the headliner again as it was starting to fall down
