Morphy Richards Premium Plus 48319 Breadmaker, Stainless Steel

I bought this bread maker to replace a Panasonic one that I'd had for over 20 years and which was on it's last legs. Originally I was going to buy the newer Panasonic model but decided I couldn't justify the cost when this one was available for less than £50.I am very pleased with it so far. Yes, the drop down paddle is a strange design and I would have preferred it to be fixed but as long as you hold it up as you're putting the flour in its no big deal. I don't use the recipes in the booklet I use the ones I've always used from Annette Yates 'Fresh bread in the morning' a book which I highly recommend. I've only had it a few weeks but I've made pizza dough, white loaves and I've currently got a malted fruit loaf in there. The beeper to add fruit is nice and loud so you shouldn't miss it.It's not too bulky either which means that instead of it being in a cupboard I've got room for it on the kitchen worktop.So all in all I'm very pleased with it and highly recommend.

Great machine although bigger than I anticipated having read how slimline and easy to store it was. Easy to get going and simple to clean. I followed the basic loaf recipe exactly and the first two loaves were awful. I worked out that it would be better to combine all the ingredients together in a bowl first, then put this into the machine and the results were perfect so will do that every time from now on.

I have used this once as only delivered 2 days ago. Important to follow the directions. Lost reasonable quality which will get better with more use. The machine will mix dough without baking which is a plus and will take pressure of mixer.

First purchase of bread maker. Clear instructions, but remember to make sure the small mixing paddle is upright, when loading ingredients! Electronic controls are activated by a light tap. Results are good, though the sweeter recipes can leave unmixed flour patches. Very good value, using 12 programmes. I don’t see how anyone could use 31!!

So far have baked 2 loaves. Both excellent. Display characters are small and a little tricky to see, but we managed, and expect to get better at it. Good value compared to other makes.

Very easy to make bread and have used packets of ready mix bread, just put in machine add water then the machine does the rest. Pleased with this unit.

I have never attempted to make bread before. Success first time. I suggest that this was because I read all of the instructions and kept to them 100%. The amount for each ingredient are spelt out for you and the rule is keep exactly to them.What a wonderful inexpensive machine and so easy to clean afterwards. Plus a two year guarantee which you can confirm on the internet or by phone.This little machine does not deny the ability to experiment but keep to the instructions when you first begin to enjoy the satisfaction of making yor own bread.
