Shortbread Petticoat Tails Cookies, Pure Butter Shortbread Cookies, 5.3 Oz Box (Pack of 6)

I have been enjoying Walkers shortbread products since I was a small child. Santa Claus used to leave these under the Christmas tree for me, and when that ended, I managed my own supply. I love all of the versions and flavors of Walkers shortbread, but the Petticoat tails are a bit unique, and differ slightly from the regular shortbread fingers. First, they arrive in a circular format, with pre-cut indentions indicating that they are to be enjoyed in pie-shaped pieces. But the difference is far more pronounced than just the shape. The crumb is of a firmer structure, yet provides a slightly softer, and more refined flavor than the fingers. The lovely shortbread taste is definitely present and lovely. But the firmer texture, due to the addition of milk to the batter, gives another form of shortbread to savor and. enjoy. The lovely and buttery aroma hits one upon the opening of the package, and is such as to stimulate immediate gluttony. The Petticoat Tails, as mentioned earlier, are of a firmer and less crumbly texture, not apt to break apart as they are being devoured. Yet, that lovely and unique Walkers buttery essence, and fine quality is every bit as evident in this offering from Walkers, as are their more traditional shortbread fingers.if you like one, you will love the other. I highly recommend these Petticoat Tails. They make a lovely presentation upon a dish of fine English China, served with a lovely Chinese tea. Indian might be just a bit too overwhelming, and tend to obscure the delicate essence of this offering. Definitely try them if you are a Walkers fan, I very much doubt that you will regret the experience.

Buttery, crunchy, giftable and wonderful with hot or iced tea.

My headline summarizes. Walkers is the best tasting, in my opinion. Good buttery taste. Unless you have a good local baker this is the way to go. Great with tea.

Walkers is our favorite brand of classic shortbread for serving with hot tea. The recipe isn't too sweet or too dry. It's perfect to compliment tea; either black, green or flavored tea. There are less expensive brands but Walkers is worth the few pennies more you'll pay, I promise. I buy big tins of these to give as gifts for Christmas along with a variety of quality loose teas to our special friends. It's always a huge hit, and I highly recommend.

Do Not Buy! Terrible flavor & quality. It used to be excellent. I tried to cancel, I tried to get a refund! I tried to return. They won't allow. I can't recommend this. I don't know if it's the seller or just Amazon but it seems like both. Zero stars, Terrible flavor & Quality, Amazon will NOT give me my money back next day.

Delicious, I love these shortbread Petticoat Tailes from Walker. They're just the right size for dipping them in your coffee. Love them for breakfast treat. You get a lot for the price, which is a bit steep for the 6 boxes so I get them every other month. Walker's is the best shortbread on the market.
