A uniquely designed book with herbal remedies for many ailments.
I really like this book. The index is unique and each recipe is listed in the front index and all the recipes are grouped by the part of the body it will help. The index is actually pictures of bottles with herbal items in them with the recipe name superimposed on it! How cute. I have already used a few of these recipes and they worked well. If you don't have major allergies, then you may be able to use most of these. I am careful about things like that. If you want to make your own remedies and not buy so many synthetic drugs, then you might find this a valuable. I recommend this book.

Wonderful Information Natural Remedies!
This book is GREAT! I've always used natural remedies, when possible. I enjoy being able to make my own, and to experiment to find what works best with any given illness. Amazed for example, on how to extract oils form seeds, and the dosages needed for different age groups and weight. Anyone who is interested in healing one's self or helping others when asked, would be grateful to have this book. It's now part of my medicinal library!

It must have book for every Home!
Natural and organic is the way to go. Nature provides so many cures for so many elements and in this book you will find almost everything you can use to help you through any illness or injury. It provides colorful pictures. It’s very well written and gives you precise instructions with exact measurements for whatever Cure you are seeking. And this day and age with doctors pushing pills which contain things that really aren’t good for our bodies it’s great to have a book that you can fall back on that has tried intrude remedies. This book is very well put together. It’s not made cheaply. The author did not spare any expense to use quality paper that won’t tear Like the flimsy pages of other books. You will be very happy if you purchase this book I keep mine within hands reach for just about every need.

Amazing book, just not for me. Mostly unusual ingredients I've never heard of.
This book is pretty amazing and comprehensive. I do believe that most medicines already come from nature. I didn't realize however, that most of the ingredients I have never heard of and I'm unsure where to acquire them to know they are safe and of high quality (which is recommended in the book). For example I've never heard of dried saw palmetto, dried horse chestnut seeds, gurmar powder, bilberry, cleavers, senna leaves, forskolin root, red clover blossoms, moringa powder, yarrow flowers, to name a few that were in recipes of interest to me. I'm apprehensive about ordering the ingredients on line, not being sure of quality brands, country of origin or safety, or if I would have any allergic or adverse reaction to any of them. For those reasons this book is not for me. If you already know what your doing and have access to safely sourced, quality ingredients, and are willing to make the concoctions (drying, grinding, etc.) I think this book would be excellent.

Indispensable for finding holistic and natural home remedies
My daughter is really trying to eat naturally and find natural home remedies to many health issues that her family may be going through. She has tried to look online for articles and such, but there was nothing she found that had a large compilation of natural ways to help her when treating her family of the ailments they experience.I saw this book and asked her if she would be interested in it. She said it was exactly what she was looking for, especially because it contains remedies that may no longer be used today. I was happy that it had 250 home remedies and was full of color, instead of black and white photos to help understand the book's contents.I really like that this book, "Forgotten Home Apothecary" has a nice binding so that it can last a long time with lots of use. It explains things well and in an easy to understand manner. Before giving it to my daughter, I showed it to my husband. He spent a couple days looking at it and now he wants one too.I might just get the book for each of my children, that's how strongly I feel about the benefits of this book.

Wonderful Book of Herbal Remedies
This is a very well-organized book that is easy to understand and use. It has the title of each recipe at the top of the page is large type, thankfully. There is typically one recipe to a page, with color photos, which are quite helpful. The recipes are clear. This book is very generous in the amount of information it provides. I highly recommend it!
