I ordered this for long-term home use but in the immediate short term I have one specific job I wanted it to do. I have one curtain ring that has completely snapped in two pieces. I have been hoping I can salvage it and this glue gun seems like a good bet!Firstly let me say that the glue gun and glue sticks arrive together in an outer cardboard box. From there the sticks are all together in a zip locked bag and the glue gun itself is in a plastic blister pack with a cardboard backing.Getting it up and running is easy enough, you plug the gun in and leave it for 3 to 5 minutes to heat up and then insert the glue stick from the back of the unit. This means when adding the glue stick you are not exposing yourself to any hot parts. Then of course you just pull the trigger which is light and large. There is also a separate on/off switch on the handle of the unit.So I am sure you were all waiting on tenterhooks to find out about my curtain ring!!! Well I am happy to say "so far, so good" on that front. The glue gun has helped me reunite the two halves into a whole. Yes it was a small job but it was important to me at least. In all honesty this is the only immediate use I have for the gun and as it has completed my task efficiently I can only judge the gun positively. There was a bit of a burning-type smell that made me cautious but I put that done to the unit being used for the first time. Nothing caught fire anyway!I'm happy, the gun is easy to setup, easy to use and has done the job I wanted it to do for the moment. Longer term I think it's a handy thing to have around at your disposal and for the price (£12.99 at time of writing) I think it represents good value.

A great little kit for the price.This is one of the smaller size glue guns, which is great for precision work with crafts.You get a box with the glue gun itself, plus three bundles of 7mm diameter glue sticks, which is just great for the price. These are general-use glue sticks, so they’ll stick just about everything.In use the glue gun heated up very quickly, and has a small flip-out stand, though I admit I made my own little MDF stand for them a while ago, as it’s a lot more weighty and so holds the gun steady.Just slide ina glue stick and press the trigger to feed it through, and you’re ready to go. This size of gun allows so much more delicacy and precision than the larger glue guns, so you’re not just ploughing through your glue sticks for small jobs. As with all glue guns, when you set the gun down it’s worth actually taking a second to take hold of the actual glue stick and pull it back a half-centimeter, to stop it leaking so much as it melts, in contact with the hot tip. When you’re finished, it’s also worth pulling the glue stick back a little further, then wiping the hot glue off the tip on a handy bit of paper or card, to keep the tip clean for use.Don’t have a single issue with this; it’s compact and competent, doing its job without any problems whatsoever, great little kit for the price.

I picked this up to supplement my ancient Maplin glue gun which works fine - But shoots out so much glue so fast, that it can get messy!This one takes the smaller glue sticks (be warned, as these are less common) and has a smaller more nimble tip. Better in my opinion, as I can more easily attend to electronics. The fact that it also has a light and switch on the handle is useful, as I always leave my old one on!The only negative in my eyes, is that the handle is quite small for any man's hands. Not a huge issue for a small task, however.

Anyone with an interest in crafting, DIY projects, or home repairs has had at least one cheap glue gun. Half the time they are a one-time use and then are a fight to use again, While the GOFRIEND glue gun is not like those cheap glue guns it is very much affordable and considering how good it is decent value for money.The glue gun is easy to operate, insert a glue stick, and within 4 minutes, it heats up quickly, its ready for use. The trigger mechanism allows for precise application, keeping the mess down to a minimum. There is also an adjustable wire stand so you can easily keep the hot nozzle off your work surface.The bond from the transparent glue is quite impressive there was no issue with plastic, paper, leather, and rhinestones and you receive a lot of sticks 75 in total this would last quite some time.This glue gun is excellent, easy to use clean and the results are decent. I'd recommend the GOFRIEND Hot Melt Glue Gun to anyone interested in crafting, DIY projects, and parents helping their children with school projects, this glue gun and glue's performance is great.

The Glue Gun with 75pcs Glue Sticks arrived exceptionally packaged, in a sealed box, and inside that box was the glue gun in its own retail packet, and a bag of 75 pieces of glue sticks.I love the fact that these glue sticks are the longer version, which was just what I was after as they last just a little longer.The glue gun is what you would expect in terms of quality. The good thing about this glue gun is to build in switch, which means you can quickly turn off the heat/power instead of pulling out the plug.The nozzle tip of the gun is a little longer compared to others I've had in the past, but this gives you far more control, I found it to be more accurate than the short stumpy versions, and you get the glue you need it most which is important.Overall, it this is a fantastic glue gun set that does what it claims, and is ideal for most glue gun jobs.

Gets hot really quickly and ready to go. Glue sticks are ok quality. Feed is smooth so you don't get gobs of the hot glue everywhere. Easy to clean up as well.
