Herradura Anejo Tequila, 70 cl

Discovered this after being a long time Don Julio fan and I love it. The price is a little steeper than some of the alternatives but it has a great flavour and aroma that deserves to be shipped neat - it still has the "fresh" vibrancy of an anjeo tequila without too much of a okay/whisky taste that a lot of darker anjeos give off, the only criticism is I did notice a little extra heat/burn on the back end of this variety, but still a great sipping anjeo.

Having developed a taste for tequila, i am working my way through some new premium brands i like the sound of. I have to say, that the idea of spending over £40 on a bottle of spirits i haven't tried before is a huge leap of faith, but as this was discounted by £5 i thought it was as good a time as any. I was not disappointed. The Anejo tequilas are quite variable, sometimes the flavour imparted by the barrels actually diminishes the subtle complex aromas of the Plata tequila, but in this case, the result is exceptional, smooth, well balanced and very moreish. This is up there with my other favourite tequila Villa Lobos.

More expensive than real gold.

I have lived in mexico and california drank a lot of different brands always come back to herradura.

My wife and I have been getting this for years when we want to buy tequila; other tequilas just tend to taste rougher! Great in margaritas but I’ve had it neat and it’s lovely, a wee bit like a mellow Scotch but with a citrus thing going on.

A delicious tequila, lots of layers & interest. I really like Gran Centinario, but I think this has the edge. The packing was was ludicrous. Any tiny plastic widget I buy for £2 comes in a box that a truck could drive over. A £50 bottle came with nothing. Previous tequila purchases have been properly packaged. Still, it survived somehow & it’s excellent

A flavour fiesta that's a shot of pure joy with every sip!

This is a solid performing tequila. Great taste. Smooth with no shocking aftertaste. Value for money.

Got to know this Tequila at a visit in Mexico and I am so happy to get it here. Totally changed my perspective on Tequila — this one is amazing, will never buy one of the brands typically sold here in Germany again

Délicieuse tequila comme toujours!

Sehr guter und ausgewogener Geschmack. Wie auch bei einem guten Whiskey kommt die Fassreife zur Geltung ohne sich in den Vordergrund zu drängen. Ein edler Tropfen zum Genießen in einer schönen Flasche. Keine Ahnung was die absolut schlechten Bewertungen mit billigen Etiketten erhalten oder bestellt haben, dieser Tequila kann es unmöglich gewesen sein, der ist nämlich wirklich sehr gut.

Klassisch, es schmeckt prima.

I’m no tequila man, but this was way harsher than I expected for the price point. Agreed by a committee of friends. Definitely not pros, but going back to Espolon
