Grip well
These make you feel really secure walking on the compacted ice. They are really sturdy, the Large is a little baggy on my size 6 boots, but is a very snug fit on my son's size 8 boots.

Best I've used so far
Bought these recently to replace a similar pair I had for 4 years. Really well made. Heavy duty and didn't disappoint. Only thing I would say is if you're using them with boots as opposed to shoes, go for the next size up. Apart from that really good and would recommend.

Grippy and work but…
First, the good, they work in snow and are great for ice as well. I’ve used a bunch of these generic grippy add on mini crampon type of things and generally you get what you pay for, obviously these are no replacement for actual crampons so if you are going to be ice climbing then these are probably not for you! They work, they are easy ish to get on and will give you confidence on normal walks, just don’t expect them to be any good for the Himalayas!Being cheap, I imagine at some point the durability will suffer and they will break but if you’re only going to be using them once of thrice a year then they are probably a good investment as they will stop you from slipping and breaking your arse! Now the bad, the straps they give you to fit over the top of your boot to hold them in place properly are flipping useless, too small, too fiddly for cold finger and the worst bit of them by far. I couldn’t attach them as they wouldn’t fit over my size 12 boots meaning that on 2 occasions the mini crampon pinged off and if it hadn’t been for my mate being behind me and seeing it happen I would have lost it!Sort that out and you would have 5 stars!

Sturdy and substantial
I'm a little confused as I thought I had asked for medium and what arrived is extra large. However, these cleats arrived in one plastic bag inside another. The package felt quite heavy. On taking them out of the bag there were two cleats and a drawstring bag for storage; a nice touch I felt. I fitted them on a pair of UK size 7 walking shoes and, although the size of cleat was specified as extra large, these were snug to fit to the shoe. The front of each cleat is marked so you know you are putting them on the right way round. There is little to no chance of them slipping off during wear. There was hardly any adjustment needed to ensure the spikes were over the heel and front of the shoe, they were just in place quite naturally and held firmly. I feel the tension on the rubber will add to the feeling of security one will get when walking in icy conditions. I have had plastic ice cleats in the past and felt they were flimsy and unsafe; these have strong metal spikes and I feel they will grip the ground much better. We have ice conditions in early spring and it can be treacherous just walking down the road. Thankfully (!) we have no snow or ice at the moment so they can not be tried out properly but comparing them with previous pairs, I think these will be of good use and provide at least some assistance in poor conditions. I feel the price, £14.99, is reasonable.

Did the job!
Got these for use in Canada, on advice from friends, had no issues at all walking on the icy ground. They felt really secure over the walking boots due to the tough rubber band, which may cause issues for people with weaker hands.

Do the job
I use it a few times on my hikes. Mostly to try if it is anyhow usefull. As an emergency item in my back pack, that do not take any room or weight and help if there is the odd snow or ice patch on my walks is good. Did the job.Defo not item to replace crampons!!
