The screws near the motor head can be take off and to be replaced with new battery pack, charging one time can be used for 2-3 months, but depend on the usage as well as the weight of your shades. Solar Charger is an optional charging when the window directly to enough of the sunshine

It is completely RF and works with Broadlink. No IR ability in this unit.

This roller motor is fit, only need to confirm which type of the rubber piece on the roller motor will fits with your ID 36mm tube, better send message and we check together, thanks

Q: What does the motor/mount add to the width of the fabric for inside frame installation?

I mounted mine inside and found it to be the inside dimension minus 1.5 inches. I used the 1.25 motor.
