Proper Instructions:Disregard the app, it's deceivingly useless. This device does not connect to your mobile device wirelessly. It's merely a pricy indicator to tell you if your soil is dry and if it contains proper nutrient levels. According to the seller, the soil sensor tests soil ion concentration which includes nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium, calcium, magnesium, sulfur, iron, boron, molybdenum, zinc, manganese, copper, chlorine, and 13 other kinds of elements.If the sensor detects all these ions, the LED light will flash GREEN every 12 seconds, BLUE if the soil is dry, YELLOW (ORANGE) if soil nutrients are low, and RED if the battery is low.Getting Started:1. Do not water your plant prior to inserting the sensor.2. Remove the sensor cover and pull the battery saver tab to activate. The device will begin blinking BLUE and YELLOW every 5 seconds to indicated that the sensor is ready. Snap sensor cover back onto the device.3. Insert the sensor into the plant soil until you've reached the white line on the sensor's stick.4. Water your plant accordingly and try to avoid getting the sensor's casing wet.5. If the soil is already moist before inserting the sensor into the soil, then add a small amount of water into the soil surrounding the sensor.6. The sensor will continue to blink BLUE and YELLOW for another minute or two. Allow up to 5 minutes for the sensor to analyze the soil.7. If you followed all the instructions above, then the LED light will begin to blink GREEN.8. This device is not recommended for carnivorous or succulent plants that utilize soil with low nutrient levels. The LED will continue to flash YELLOW under these soil conditions. ​

I purchased two of your sPlant Soil testers. I attempted to pair and add device but it reports back "unrecognized QR code". Any suggestions?? Each device is currently in plant with Green Light flashing.

pricy for single plant usage as many better priced product available but still very cute though expectations should be low with it

I used this for a Christmas cactus but found the LEDs flashed regardless of the water level or nutrient level

The device doesn’t work. It kept saying that the soil humidity is low. I have several plants and some of them the soil is dry but the device kept showing blue light even on moist soil. So I then dipped the probes into a glass of water and the blue light blinked. I think one of the reviewers commented on this-as well as the wap code being in Chinese only. I will return the product.

I have lots of plants at home. To remember what to water when to fertilize is always challenge. With this little handy tool, you can easily find out if you need to water and/or fertilizer. If there was a switch to turn on/off the test function, that will make this tester more attractive.

compared with many products of the same type , it’s found that the appearance is really optional! These product looks very fancy and it’s very small in size! But don’t foget to open the white oval lid and pull out the plastic strip(I think is the battery prtector) befor the first time u use !

Gotta say, it works well. I'm somewhat surprised but it does! It told me my plant needs fertilizer so I added and the device was satisfied, likewise for water. I'm assuming its accurate,I've been known to kill a few plants in my lifetime but this one is doing well enough!
