A Most Impressive Non-Wrinkled Sack
Bag is well made, and exceeded my expectations as far as quality is concerned.Storage capacity is average, but this bag isn't meant to be a travel bag. It's a plate carrier that can function as an EDC bag or to carry incidentals while rucking. The bag fit is excellent, and again. The attention to detail and durability of straps, handles, etc. is impressive. If you've ever used a lesser bag to ruck with and do the workouts, you'll know what I mean. This isn't a twenty dollar Wal-Mart bag.I have several different types of backpacks and I must say, the straps are unmatched in comfort and initial quality. They are easy to adjust on the fly, and the comfort that is imparted by proper straps makes me look forward to using it.As far as functionality goes, some folks would say, "It's a bag." This is more than a bag. There are handles attached to make it a self contained gym. There's room to carry water etc. There are accessories to help improve the functionality of the bag as well check the GoRuck Amazon shop. I'll be purchasing the hydration system soon.

Fantastic Ruck - you get what you pay for!
Fantastic ruck - not as comfortable as a Mammut or Osprey pack but 10 times more durable and when carrying exceptionally heavy weight, it does the job. It is a pain to clean when it starts to stink from working out, but it is worth every dollar.

This is an amazing bag that’s built to last a long time
This bag is built like a tank and holds several different ruck plate options. I’ve added a couple straps to hold and a water bladder clip you can get from goruck website. Seriously one of the best investments I’ve made for my cardio and strength training health. I love it and use it daily. Goruck also makes some amazing and reasonably priced footwear which I do recommend. Check them out.

$$$ but good
Expensive but well built. I own an RPC 3.0 and use it regularly. However I wanted more weight and the ability to carry other stuff. The Rucker is great for a heavy duty general purpose ruck. If I had a magic wand, I’d add a few inches to straps (eternal and shldr)

Think of it as fitness equipment
not a rucksack. While you could use it as a day to day ruck or a school book bag, it is heavy and there are ones that are just as well suited for much more reasonable prices. The interior space is not well organized for a book or laptop back, and it needs a few more pockets. As fitness equipment, it is excellent. The zippers, stitching, and materials are excellent, if a little heavy, but for the purpose of throwing some weight on your back when you walk, entirely appropriate. The shoulder straps fit well, and I find they work well without the waist strap. The sternum strap is key to good fit and balance.I got it because I was wearing out my old MOLLE medium rucksack, and I use that one for short trips. So rather than trash a travel bag, I invested in this. While it was a bit of splurge, I don't think I will ever need to replace it.E. M. Van Court

Great Ruck!
Great product…at little on the pricier side but well worth it. Sturdy and high quality.

Sturdy, but leaves a lot to be desired
I don't have a problem with this pack being made in Vietnam. I do have a problem with Goruck obfuscating that fact. They are really playing the veteran owned, USA angle hard. The truth is that only one of their packs, the GR-1 is US made, and it costs $100 more. One star deducted. The strap system on this pack is just terrible. Packs built at this price point generally have smooth adjustable straps at both the waist and the shoulders. Modern straps are designed to cinch in a reverse pull. This allows easy balancing of the load. Adjusting the weigh distribution on the 4.0 on the fly is virtually impossible. I bought the waist belt for heavy rucks, but It is mostly useless because you cannot properly load it. The sternum strap is equally problematic. Many people, including the company owner, do not even use it. Now I see why. The strap system on the 4.0 is typical of a $30 pack. I've been backpacking for over 50 years, so I know what I'm talking about. On the plus side, the pack IS very sturdy. The straps are very wide set, which puts the load on the deltoids, not the traps. The plate storage scheme is very good. The zippers are robust and smooth. The pack should hold up to a lot of daily abuse. Given the price though, I would mark it as a poor value overall. $150 is more in line. I'm going to keep it as a daily beater plate carrier. My rucking sessions are usually an hour or less. I would not carry this pack for hours or days under any circumstance.
