Nice looking packaging.

The strings were not for me, but for my dad in law. He loved them. The sound is much better than some high end strings. Cannot find them in a local store.

these strings are awesome. They really brightened up my mandolin and the gauge is very rare. They are easy to play and I would recommend them to anyone!

previously i had a set of D'Addario Phosphor Bronze Mandolin Strings, Light, 10-38these really make my mandolin sound like a completely different mandolin.I disagree with other reviewers, specially the g string, really lacks a low end, that i associate with "mellow". The gimmick is real, if you have an old cheaper mandolin laying around definitely throw these and expand your palette. I would describe these as super tinny, but i hate descriptors, the g string don't provide the low end for chords, that's a fact. They are easier to play, but for that reason I wouldn't recommend them for beginners.

I have a Kentucky km-154. While I love the mandolin (I'm a beginner), it did sound just a little tinny to me. I was longing for a mellower sounding mandolin, when my wife suggested a new set of strings. I tried another set, that did not make much difference. As a last ditch effort, I tried these, as something different than the 'phosphor bronze' strings I had used. Bingo! These are just enough mellower to really make my Kentucky sound sweet! I'm very happy with these strings for my needs.

Very pretty and true to size but I have a wider foot and these were not very comfortable, not a lot of padding. Maybe someone with a slimmer foot would like these but I couldn't west them very long.

Well constructed strings - made playing the mandolin much easier.

Nothing to dislike; the price is reasonable and they have a nice, full-bodied and clear sound (and I'm playing a small Neapolitan mandolin). I would buy these again.
