Piano Adventures - Theory Book - Level 1

I have only just started using this book. It ties in well with the lesson book and has plenty of fun things to fill in providing a good chance to reinforce concepts learned in the lesson book. I am looking forward to using more of this series.

Was instructed to get this by my daughters tutor. She has been working through these and has found them enjoyable.

Very good for piano.

As a piano teacher, this is one of my favorite theory books to use with early learners. The activities are engaging, age appropriate, and do a great job reinforcing what students are learning at the piano. It makes note reading, rhythm, and basic theory feel fun instead of intimidating. I especially like how it pairs so naturally with the Piano Adventures lesson books. The illustrations keep kids interested and the exercises help concepts really stick. I use this regularly in my studio and have seen great progress and confidence from my students.

The Piano Adventures - Theory Book Level 1 (2nd Edition) is an excellent companion to the Lesson Book! It reinforces key concepts in a fun and engaging way, making theory feel like an exciting part of learning rather than a chore. My child enjoys the StoryRhymes for note-naming, and the improvisation, ear-training, and eye-training activities help build confidence and musical understanding. The layout is clear, easy to follow, and perfectly complements the Lesson Book. I’ve seen amazing progress in my child’s ability to understand and apply music theory, all while having fun. Highly recommend for any beginner pianist!

Fine book required by our piano teacher

What I love most is how it balances theory and practice. It includes helpful tips and exercises to build technique while gradually introducing new concepts. The progression feels natural, so you’re constantly improving without feeling overwhelmed.
