Alien Covenant: David's Drawings

The image’s, graphics are amazing what you see to what goes into making this a iconic film that is dateless like this book. plus all the other’s detailing what the right choice out of all the pictures and images these image for the film, this is my 2nd purchase, I have purchased one then another one at a later date in the last week of August 2021. to leave the shrink wrap on as I might give it to a family member or for a friend if not I will have a spare one this hardback book come’s in a hard sleeve inside are two books every time I look at some of the images I see something different every time I look and view the images I do hope my pictures do this book ok, it’s excellent value for the price, excellent value for the sketches, plus the photographs and the information you read is also excellent,excellent,excellent, everything thing in the two books in a hard sleeve, if my review please purchase at least one I can guarantee you won’t be sending this item back. Overall one of the best book to show case this book is 100% excellent go on purchase at least one if you like my review go ahead and purchase one you won’t regret buying it. For me personally the only good thing in Alien Covenant was David. It was interesting to see how android slowly goes down into madness. Also in this artbook you can see the process of engineering behind Praetomorph (David's creations in the movie are not Xenomorphs yet), it can also give you a hint on black goo. Another interesting piece included into the box is an interview with artists which again widens an understanding of the universe. As a big fan of Prometheus I really enjoyed this pretty much standalone story.

The item is just as described, it arrived on time, was well worth the price and communication with the seller was great. Top marks from me.

Will make a perfect gift

This two-book collection is a wonderfully presented insight into the mind of David and the renderings he has produced during various surgical explorations and other investigative work. The hardback book that features the collection of his drawings is bound in a black, embossed, leathery material and really creates an impression of quality when held in the hand. Many of the highly detailed drawings inside are, of course, every bit as grim as one would hope they would be and triggered within me some rather bleak and desolate thoughts regarding our species. Disturbing is the most apt word I can summon to convey my impression of the contents. The accompanying softback book provides a supremely detailed account of the concept artists' intentions, creative processes and other areas of interest for those who appreciate the drawings and the film. Overall this is an extremely worthy addition to the collection of fans of Alien Covenant and other films in the series and should also appeal to those with a penchant for the macabre. Highly recommended!

Hi, this publication is a representation of the drawings that David has hung on the walls of his dwelling when the crew of the Covenant arrive at the Engineer's home world. They feature in gruesome detail the level of torture and vivisection that Elizabeth Shaw was subjected to by David's hand, plus the ideas David experimented with, with the bio-matter that was left over. It is pretty macabre stuff but given the unusual nature of this product it is worth a purchase. There is also a full-colour book accompanying the collection which takes you behind the scenes in the make-up and design part of the production. Both books come in a hard cardboard slipcase. Lets just hope that the final sequel Alien Awakening is put into production enabling Ridley Scott to complete the film saga that dovetails into the original movie.

The drawings get more and more disturbing as you progress through the book and the squiggly text is a bit hard to read sometimes xD, but the book is very high quality. Definitely recommended for fellow David enthusiasts.
