excellent product, long term result....EXCELLENT!!
excellent product. We'll see in about a year how well it performs in the long run but so far the thickness is just right and the included applicator is convenient. I'd compare the thickness to be slightly thinner than honey but significantly thicker than normal paint. It *might* depend on your location but here in the tropics, it can be applied straight from the can. Its not too runny, not too thick, its just about perfect to allow it to get into little nooks ang crannies that need sealed. I usually want to reapply after a few hours to have the thickness i think i need on the inner wood of the cut as those sections are usually "planed-like" smooth from my ARS saw, thus it tends to spread thin initially on those areas.... Sometimes i go for a third coating when the wood is moist which also tends to dilute and thin the paint.March 3, 2017 update: so far so so good and im pretty much sold on it. Ive read these sealer or paint products arent needed and that its better for the tree to "naturally heal itself" but based on experience, using this definitely makes a difference in speeding up the healing while minimizing rot. Before i had this product, I once cut the 1.5" diameter top of a durian tree to a branch and it eventually rotted and created a weak point for the top branch due to the rotting wound. I did a very similar cut on another tree but used this sealer afterwards and the difference is night and day. Several months later, theres minimal rotting, if at all, and i can see the tree callous closing the wound better and faster. Ill likely buy again when mine runs out.July 16 2018 UPDATEStill completely sold on it. At first I thought I needed to reapply this until the tree completely enclosed the wound with callus but that seems unnecessary. Even though the bark will stretch over time and expose bare bark on the stretched portions of the bark as it develops callus over the open wound, by then, it seems like the open wound has developed a protective layer underneath it's surface to prevent it from rotting. I didn't cut the wound open to verify this but that's just my guess based on the fact that the wound doesn't dry up and disintegrate as it did in untreated wounds in the past. Other people may have other experiences so definitely this is a product to atleast try because it May work for you as it did for me. Thank you for the makers of this excellent product!!Definitely highly recommended you try it!

Works like it should and it was available
I knew the product, but during the winter, I couldn’t find it locally.I needed to cut off some storm damaged limbs on some expensive ornamental trees. Used this to allow tree to heal and to keep insects out.

Excellent sealer
Excellent quality sealer. This stuff forms a protective cover after it cures. Seems to be waterproof. Far superior to aerosol sealers that I've used in the past.

No clogging like spray cans
I like this that I can brush one as the spray cans will always clog after one use. I use after pruning and after the deer rub their new antlers on my seedlings
