I've been searching for something to help my son be able to concentrate in school without having to rely on harsh synthetic drugs. He has a history of not being able to focus and it has been a major hindrance to his grades. This CogniFOCUS supplement from Clinical Daily contains a proprietary blend of well-known herbs and proteins clinically proven to stimulate blood flow in the brain and boost neurotransmitter function. Ingredients include Vinpocetine, Bacopin, Phosphatidylserine, Acetyl-L-Carnitine, Dimethylaminoethanol, Ginkgo Biloba, L-Glutamine, St Johns Wort and Huperzine.My son has been taking it in prep for school as we both want to ensure it works and he has no negative impacts from taking it and he claims he is able to pay attention somewhat and has not had a problem taking the supplement. The bottle contains 30 capsules and the recommended dosage is 1 to 2 per day so it will run you about 15 days to a month. For those with allergies, please review the warning which states it is manufactured in a facility which may also process a lot of allergens like milk, shell fish, peanuts, etc. It also contains Gelatin so not vegan friendly. All in all son is happy with results and we will let it run its course through the bottle and see how it works as school starts up again.I did receive this quality product to try out at a discount for my unbiased and completely honest feedback. Ginkgo improves blood flow to the brain and acts as an antioxidant. These effects may translate into some benefits for certain medical problems, but the results have been mixed.Some studies have found that in healthy people, ginkgo might modestly boost memory and cognitive speed. Other studies have not found a benefit.Several ginkgo studies have shown that it can help with memory problems caused by dementia or Alzheimer’s disease. It seems to help prevent the progression of dementia symptoms, especially if the dementia is thought to be the result of atherosclerotic vascular disease. It does not seem to prevent dementia or Alzheimer’s, however.There is some scientific evidence that St. John's wort may be helpful in treating mild depression, and the benefit seems similar to that of antidepressants. However, two large studies, one sponsored by the National Center for Complementary and Alternative Medicine (NCCAM), showed that the herb was no more effective than placebo in treating major depression of moderate severity; ironically, the conventional drugs also studied did not fare any better than placebo, either.
