There is no doubt that New Chapter is a well-known and highly respected brand in the vitamin industry, especially when it comes to Whole Food or Organic products and ingredient quality. With this said, I tried this and I like the results after being on it for a month and a half. I typically use some of the other leading whole food or organic multivitamin brands like Garden of Life myKind Organics, MegaFood, and Naturelo. I had previously liked the 2 a day formulas because they offer more than a one a day but it’s still not too many tablets or capsules. However, I decided with some of the other supplements I take to see if I can simplify my routine to a one a day Multivitamin. I feel this vitamin covers almost all the bases in terms of vitamins, minerals, and even some additional supplements included in their blends, and at optimal amounts. I rated it 5 stars because I felt it deserved more than 4, however, I would have ideally rated it 4.5 due to one thing. The vitamin is ideal on many levels of nutrients except it has an unusually low level of Folate (one of the B vitamins which is water soluble). Compared to the other B vitamins this only offers 50% of the RDA and 200 mcg DFE as folic acid from ferment media (also called ferment media or fermentate as the nutrient is fermented) as opposed to the minimum amount of at least 300 mcg DFE which would be 75% of the RDA. Of course, as excess Folate is excreted from the body, there is no need for this Multivitamin not to include 100% of the RDA as Folate as it is an important supplement for men and the B vitamins included in this meet or exceed the RDA. I am not sure why New Chapter does not rectify this, and due to this I have chosen to take a B complex daily too, which in a way defeats the point of the one daily, however, I do get an overall boost of B vitamins too. I take the Garden Of Life Vitamin Code B Complex, dosage is 2 capsules, but I take 1 with this Multivitamin and I find it makes for a better overall effect. Outside of that one issue, I do feel this is a great multivitamin for men that covers (almost) all the essential nutrients needed in addition to a healthy lifestyle and healthy diet. Also, I have family members who take the Woman's 40+ version and feel it works well too.

I’m over 40 and these vitamins do the trick for me. I’m an educator that is around sick kids yearly and since I’ve been taking these vitamins the last few years, I’ve rarely gotten sick or the sickness doesn’t last very long. I’m able to take on an empty stomach with a cup of coffee in the morning with no issues with burping etc.

I feel I unfairly dropped a star for the taste, as they are NOT coated to aid more efficient digestion. They aren’t terrible, but if you happen to burp any time later you will recognize the herbal nature of the taste These are multi-vitamins, not silver bullets to your health - so don’t expect to eat a poorly balanced diet and this will some kind of miracle cure. These are designed to supplement your intake. Turning 40 and with 2 kids, my diet retracted to something I can make in 10 minutes and the kids’ left overs, so to ensure I was still getting nutrition that I need, I added these. No gut issues (as I have had with some supplements) and they are gluten free. They are a little on the large side, on first inspection I had wondered if I had mistakenly bought the suppository version - so you may have to break them in half if you can’t swallow tablets. In offensive, single tablet multi-vitamins that do their job and on subscribe and save just show up each month.

Almost immediately after taking one - you feel it working (matter of speech). Feels right (if you know what I mean).

2.5 times of daily dose of B6 and 4.17 times of daily dose of B12, such amount are now considered to be a cause of neurological damage, there was an item on TV about people who got sick form taking so much synthetic vitamin B. This brand is behind the times. I have now switched to natural vitamin B (beef liver extract).
