We have an old Dewalt drill that the battery just couldn't get the job done anymore. I was skeptical about buying knock-off batteries for it, but there is such a huge savings that I figured what the heck - let's give them a shot. So happy I did! They worked GREAT right out of the box. Got the job done so much faster now that we had a drill that had some power. Would definitely recommend!Update: definitely hard to get to fit on the Dewalt charger for the first time. I couldn't do it, so husband man handled it on there. After we got them to fit that first time, now I can take them off and on myself from the charger. A little frustrating at first, but these are still definitely worth the buy.

So, a couple of years ago I had problems with my new chinese knock off batts fitting my charger units. I have 5, some home some travel. I found that I had to modify the charger units to allow the new batts to fit correctly. ONe of the problems was the openings of the contact entry holes in the charger units. the holes were miss-aligned on the dewalt chargers. after I corrected this all batts reguardless of brand fit correctly including the dewalts brand. I also noticed that the batt fit into the tools them selves were tight. Cleaned and petroleum jelly and no more sticking. I also found the new batt latches needed to be tight, I lubed them and problem solved. No data on how long these new knock offs will last, to new. most last me me about 3 years of regular use, 5 years of limited use. I order new one every 3 years. May I suggest marking the date put in service on each batt.

They are just a little oversized as I had to really push down for them to fit into my DeWalt charger to actually start charging, getting them out was hard too. I tried them in my tools and they are a tight fit as well and hard to remove as well.
