JT Eaton Jawz 407 Depot Covered Mouse Traps

Definitely more reliable than the spin traps. The morning right after this depot trap was baited with peanut butter and cheese, the bothersome mouse that took shelter in the kitchen oven was found caught in it. After using this type of trap twice with success, I would go for this depot trap again if more mouse problems should surface, whether in my current home or when I move elsewhere.

A lot of the art of trapping is in placement.Two by two - back to back - though I've caught one mouse trying to sneak in the other direction - I've caught two mice in each trap placed back to back... and more. I'd be sad at my cold heart except they ate the insulation and windshield washer lines and built a freakin' rat's/mouse's nest on my engine block underneath that plastic cap on our brand new truck we haven't driven much since the recent troubles...More than several times I've just (worn gloves) and emptied the mouse, looked and saw the bait (peanut butter - it doesn't take much) was still valid. Easy to re-set - far, far easier than those wooden Victor traps that are made so cheaply they fall apart after one or two kills - just click the lever down (sometimes you have to shake it to re-set) and they're good-to-go.Best traps I've ever tried to use.

Got 2 traps quite expensive but I paid the price because it was concealed. Caught 1 mouse only. The other trap couldn't be set; spring kept popping up no matter how hard tried. Wouldn't buy this trap again until they improve it. I wouldn't clean the trap because of repulsion to mice.

Just as functional as the normal trap, but concealed to keep birds out of it.

I set this one time and the bait was gone. set it again and the lever that sets the trap broke.

I had my doubt about this product because my exterminator gave me glue traps and I put cheese, peanut butter and this mouse avoided them all and started getting on my nerves when I spotted him in my birdcage. I even tried those traps where you pull back the latch and is supposed to snap when mouse steals the cheese well cheese was gone and no mouse but this morning, I heard what sounded like a snapping sound and sure enough it got him. The reason why I'm giving it 4 stars is because it contained one trap and seller could have added an extra one for good measure. I will be buying more because as a pet owner they tend to get stuck to glue trap and I hate peeling it off just to discover a mouse is stuck to it as well. With this trap you only have to remove bottom dispose of it and add a new one
