Necessity for water-cold people
I’m the only dad a shorty wetsuit at the indoor or outdoor pool on a 90° day where we live, but I’m no longer feeling hypothermic everytime I get in the water for my kid. I wear this under basic black swim shorts and a 3/4 length long sleeve oneill swimming shirt. This way I feel less awkward while also being much less cold. Quality is great. Zipper is easy and strong, the long tail of it makes it easy to do yourself and also makes you feel sort of ninja-like. Over a year later and it’s holding up. 3 trips to Great Wolf, and maybe 50+ swim days. Only just starting to see the logo start to crack.

The Seals Reflect the Quality
I've attached three photos to show the quality of the seals around the openings of the O'Neill Men's Reactor-2 2mm Back Zip Short Sleeve Spring Wetsuit: (1) The 1st photo shows the long single-piece rubber neck. This single-piece design avoids seams that may leak. The smooth rubber layer of the fabric forms a seal around most of my neck. (2) The 2nd photo shows a leg opening. Again the smooth rubber layer of the fabric forms a seal against my leg. My only criticism here is that the diameter of the opening is small and feels tight. (3) The 3rd photo shows the back zipper. Unfortunately, when zipped, the rough fabric layers of the neoprene are making contact in an attempt to form a seal. I would have preferred that the smooth rubber layers are used to form a seal. The photo also shows a loose thread that may jam the zipper. The design and aesthetics of the O'Neill shorty are top notch. I do notice some shortcomings in the zipper seals and tightness in the leg openings. Overall, I believe that it deserves 4 of 5 stars.

Warm and fits like a glove
I like that it has a windproof material on the chest and back as I use this to kitesurf with. Quality is great and I love that I can fold the zipper pull over the velcro strap to make sure the back doesn't unzip during a session. I did go a size larger as other reviews have pointed out and mine fits perfect. So you know, a wetsuit should be like a second skin. snug but not tight. If you can't breath or it is restricting movement you went too small if it is baggy you went to big as this won't keep you warm. Also note these stretch out a bit over time so if at first it is a little tight give it time to break in. Otherwise return before using it and get the size you need.

I was astounded to see O’Neill wetsuits at such a bargain and I had to get 3! The fit is perfect, the value for money incredible. I am so happy with them !

Great Lightweight Wetsuit
I bought this to use when riding my PWC when the weather is cool enough to require one, but not quite cold enough for a full 5mm wetsuit. It's comfortable, easy to don, fits well, and looks good. It works great when riding in moderate air temps (60's - 80's) and cool water temps (60's - 70's). I haven't had any issues with chafing (I do use Body Glide around my neck). I've used it a half dozen times so far and it's wearing well, no issues. It's also easy to care for - just rinse in fresh water and hang to dry (not machine washable). I bought the XL size and it fits perfectly (I'm 71" tall, weigh 216, wear 38 waist pants, and have a 45" chest. Remember, the suit has to fit snugly to work well).

Broken zipper
Zipper broke in 45 days of owning it, a friend purchased the same wetsuit and his broke in 35 days. $110 for 45 days not really worth it. Will go back to using my 18 year old Orca full suit.
