Great cream for very dry skin but pump struggles when half full.
This emolient cream has been great on my kids skin. They get dry, itchy skin in the winter months and other creams we have tried have not got rid of that, but this Aveeno Dermexa Emolient cream has worked well. The only issue I have is that the cream, is richly and reassuringly thick but the pump struggles to deliver the cream. The pump broke on the 1st bottle we got, the 2nd was much better, but once the bottle gets down to around half, it is very difficult to get the remainder of the cream out. This is because there is no movement of the cream due to it's thickness, so the cream never settles at the bottom of the bottle. The bottle is still very heavy, so you know there is lots of cream left. I ended up cutting the bottle open to extract the rest. I think a jar or tub would be better.

Excellent for dry itchy skin, eczema, dermatitis
Very good for eczema/dermatitis or dry itchy skin. It's extremely soothing and makes skin feel instantly better. It's not oily or shiny, it has a lovely matte finish. It is thick and sticky but not greasy, and very smooth and matte. Hydrates the skin and heals from within, unlike other oily emollient creams like hydromol that only add an oil barrier on the face. This one hydrates and moisturizes and replenishes plus forms a non-greasy matte barrier.Worked better than prescription steroid cream for me!The only problem is that you can't put it on the eyes, and so now I need to find something else for the eye area..so I'm a bit disappointed with that. What do we do for itchy skin on the eyelids and under the eyes? I wish they would have made the cream to include the eye area. (Update: I am using jergens ultra healing for around my eyes, it's working very well. I also have tried applying this dermexa cream very carefully on eyelids using the tip of my finger..but it's a bit tricky and sometimes it makes the eyes burn/water so then I immediately wash and rinse off and go back to jergens for the eyes. ) If you can be really careful then I guess it's ok to put around the eyes.I mix oats and cold milk, keep it in the fridge for an hour, and then scrub/wash my face and hands with it. It's very soothing. After that I apply this cream. Amazing results. Skin has cleared up considerably in a week. There's something about oats..... :)I put several layers of the cream ... First apply then wait for a few minutes for it to be absorbed, then apply again, then wait a couple minutes, then apply a 3rd time. I do this 3 times a day. Once my skin gets fully cleared up and healed, I will probably just apply once. It's a good cream to use under makeup too.I dont know what it is about this cream , but it just works. Amazingly.

Aveeno Dermexa is amazing!
First off let me start by saying that my skin (on my face) has given me 30+ years of grief, I have tried every cream, lotion, gel on the market, moisturisers for dry skin, acne prone skin, natural products and endless types of facial wash' and I've had problem skin all these years. I have dry skin but am also prone to acne, some doctors have said its seb derm or both so its very difficult to find something that works. The most recent moisturiser I've been using (before dermexa) was aveeno eczema therapy which worked pretty well for me although I would still get irritation/spots/itchiness around my neck and hairline but I persevered with it as my skin felt better than it was for a long time. Aveeno eczema therapy doesn't seem to be available in the uk anymore so I needed to find something else, tried a few others in the aveeno brand without much luck until I discovered the Dermexa range, since I've been using it on my face my skin is much better, no dryness, itchiness and acne or seb derm or whatever it is has vastly improved. I don't know what ingredient is different in Dermexa than the other aveeno ranges but its great for me.I realise everyone's skin is different and it's a case of pot luck trying different creams but this has to be worth a try. Its 8 quid or something so quite cheap for 200 ml container. I read a review where someone said it was tacky on the skin which is true but it doesn't feel greasy and doesn't make your face shiney, its hard to explain but my face feels hydrated, calmed and comfortable. Gotta be worth a shot guys!

Amazing
I have bad eczema and this is such a great cream. I didn’t realise it was the 500ml as I’m so used to getting the 200ml and it was a big comparison to the 200ml. Feels like the same price. This big bottle will last me a few months at most. If you want a simple moisturiser that will soothe your flare ups this is a great option with the triple oat complex. I find that it being an emollient cream it is very moisturising. It doesn’t really have a scent but it smells like nice. I don’t think it has scent. I would say this is better than the original green aveeno cream/lotion and it really does moisturise properly.

Great moisturiser
I've been using Aveeno Dermexa for the last year following a serious burn injury to help moisturise my scar tissue. I have used this from the early days when my wounds were first healed and the skin was very delicate up until now when my scars are healed but due to having no sweat glands still requires at least twice daily moisturisation. It is an amazing moisturiser and provides instant relief, especially when skin is tight and sore. The moisturising effects last a long time and it is safe for use on very delicate skin. I use this very liberally and although it stays a sticky for a bit, because of the amount i use, it does soak in fine after a short while, this isn't an issue for me as I need the area to be as moisturised as possible. If i use a more normal amount I have found it soaks in well. My father in law uses this cream for dermatitis on his hands and around his ears, he says it's the only thing that works to bring it under control. I would recommend this cream to anyone with scars or skin issues which are in need of intense moisturising.
