Great cutter at this price point, uBridgeport for slotting operation
Used this cutter for a deep slotting operation in aluminum plate. Cutter (3/8" dia) performed very well, cutting full width .25" depth of cut per pass at about (power feed not CNC) .003 per tooth chip load. I used a straight plunge to start the cut and it did equally well but if you have a CNC I would use a ramping strategy. One cutter did 32 parts with over 72" of slotting in each part with no appreciable wear, cutter was still objectively as sharp as new (when I dropped it on the floor in a toolholder and broke it 😖). Used mist coolant system throughout the process and keeping it wet made a big difference in cut quality.Chip evacuation was good and surface finish on finish pass was outstanding. I bought a couple more just to keep on hand for future jobs. Great cutter at this price point.

Excellent!
These aluminum cutter look great! I am so pleased with everything I have bought from Speed Tiger, they are starting to become my favorite tool company. Everything I have gone with has been a very good value. If they had a Fusion360 tool library, they would be the perfect cutter supply. Keep up the good work!

Now these Bits are great
They are perfect.

Worth the price
Great endmill for the price. The tips are a bit fragile, I managed to break one moving off the part and was just a whisker too low by about .030". Other than that, they are sharp and leave a nice finish. Going to order another to replace the one I jacked up.

Great for aluminum
I used this cutter the other day in the fabrication of a fixture for a large air compressor piston refurbishment, I used it in a helix in cutting motion to pocket out some holes for the fasteners, it does a great job of clearing the chips and leaves a mirror like finish....be careful handling these cutters, they are sharpened like razor blades with a high polish finish on them.

Wow! These worked great for my aluminum BattleBot parts.
I needed to make some parts for a Hub-Motor being used in a BattleBot (see picture). The parts are for a small motor with small details, hence I needed a small 1/8" end mill for my 1/4" CNC (MillRight CarveKing) router.I bought these (SPEED TIGER IAUE 1/8" 3-flute Carbide Square End Mill for Aluminum Applications) (Amazon/Speed Tiger: please re-list these, they are awesome). The picture shows the two parts I made (five of each), total machining time was ~16 hours, all using the same end mill. The last part came out as well as the first part. I pushed the limit, with 20mm of the tool protruding from the collet. I did take it slow since it was my first time machining two-sided aluminum parts this complicated. My speeds and feeds were: 800mm/min (feedrate), 400mm/min (2 degree ramp), 20mm/min (plunge), all using a 0.5mm layer depth (it's a hobbyist CNC machine). As the Speed Tiger website shows, these 1/8" bits want a high speed (~29,000rpm), which is great for router CNC'ers... I dialed my router up to its max speed of 27,000 RPM.To make the 1/8" end mill work in my router's 1/4" chuck, I bought the "Amana Tool - RB-102 High Precision Steel Router Collet Reducer 1/4 Overall Dia x 1/8 Inner".Also, to make this project a success, I bought a compressor (Quipall 2-1-SIL-AL 1 HP 2 Gallon Oil-Free Hotdog Air Compressor), and a mister nozzle (Mist Coolant Lubrication Spray System for Metal Cutting Engraving Cooling Sprayer Machine for Air Pipe CNC Lathe Milling Drill - the picture indicates: Succkey “Full Sealed Mist Sprayer” S/N: AE 2150343). This enabled me to apply a high stream of compressed air (no lubricant or fluid was used) to keep the chips away and the aluminum cool. Both of which worked great.I am very happy with these 1/8" Speed Tiger IAUE 3-flute end mills. For another (larger aluminum) project, I bought the "SPEED TIGER IAE5 Carbide Square Nose End Mill with ZrN Coating for Aluminum Applications - 2 Flute - IAE5-1/4"2T-ZrN" -- I'll let you know how those work.

So far ok, but I'm concerned about the end grind.
I used these on my Haas cnc machine because I am looking for an alternative. First one I bought, seems to be running great no chatter, doesn't load up and provides a great finish on the profile. So I bought another one to try and see how good of a finish I can get on the floor (end grind) of my part. First thing i noticed was what looks like an incomplete end grind, see pic. There's essentially no rake at the tip so I'm concerned about how well it will cut and how well the face of my part will look. Edit to add they need to do better on the end grind. The floor of my part doesn't look good. Because there is no rake on the end/tip the part looks rubbed. Downgraded to 3 stars.

Mirror like surface finish
I purchased this Speed Tiger IAUE for a finishing mill and it did not disappoint !! It leaves the best edge finish on aluminum our of all mills that I have tried to date (and that's a lot). This thing leaves a mirror-like finish. These are results that you would usually only expect out of high-end CNC milling machines. I did this with a CNC router !! Now granted, it's a higher end and rigid router (ShopSabre), but still nowhere near as rigid as a mill. The Speed Tiger IAUE will perform as advertised, but I am personally using a LakeShore Carbide TAS as my rougher and the ST IAUE as a finishing mill. I originally purchased the 3/8 but I now own the entire set with backups. Highly recommend this mill for aluminum work !!
