Love the idea, but execution was a total miss!
I loved the idea of this and thats what sold me! Unfortunately a great idea is where it all stopped. I was not able to drink with this without having the liquid leak and spray all over. I tried to adjust the straw so it would have a tighter fit but it made the straw more loose on the top part. I really wanted this to work

A Disappointing Design: The VEIRRW Reusable Silicone Straws for Stanley Tumblers
When I first heard about the VEIRRW Reusable Silicone Straws, I was genuinely excited. The concept seemed ideal, especially for someone like me who frequently uses reusable straws and appreciates the importance of keeping them clean. The promise of a straw that could be easily opened for cleaning without needing a brush sounded like a dream come true. Unfortunately, my experience with this product has been far from satisfactory, leading me to give it a disappointing two-star review.Upon receiving the straws, my initial impressions were positive. The silicone material felt soft and flexible, and the idea of a cuttable, chewy, and bendy straw that could fit my Stanley 40oz Tumbler seemed like a versatile addition to my kitchen. The packaging was neat, and the straws appeared well-made at first glance. However, my enthusiasm quickly faded once I started using them. One of the main selling points of these straws is their ability to open for easy cleaning. This feature is particularly appealing for those of us who often drink more than just water. Smoothies, iced coffee, and other beverages can leave residues that are difficult to clean with traditional straws. However, this innovative feature turned out to be the product's biggest flaw. The silicone material, while flexible, does not seal properly at the joint where the two sides meet. This poor sealing allows air to pass through the straw, making it ineffective for creating the necessary vacuum to draw liquid up.No matter how much I tried to press the ends together, they simply wouldn’t stick. The silicone's inherent properties, which should have allowed for a secure seal, failed to deliver. The result was a leaky straw that couldn't perform its basic function of delivering liquid. It was frustrating to realize that such a fundamental aspect of the straw's design was so poorly executed. To test this, I tried blocking the end of the straw with my finger and attempting to suck air through it. Disappointingly, air still passed through, confirming the inadequate seal. The same issue occurred when I tried blowing out; air escaped through the joint, proving that the straw could not maintain a proper vacuum. The problems didn't stop there. Using the straw with my Stanley tumblers was an exercise in futility. The lack of a proper seal meant that every sip was a struggle, with more air being sucked in than the actual beverage. This not only diminished the drinking experience but also rendered the straws practically useless. The frustration of dealing with a straw that couldn’t fulfill its primary purpose overshadowed any potential benefits of its easy-to-clean design.Another letdown was the claim that these straws are dishwasher safe and don’t require a brush for cleaning. While it’s true that they can be opened up for easier access, the flawed design meant that residue and liquid would still seep into the joint, making it difficult to ensure a thorough clean. The promise of a hassle-free cleaning experience was, therefore, another unmet expectation.Given the numerous issues, I can’t help but feel that the VEIRRW Reusable Silicone Straws squandered an opportunity to provide a truly innovative and useful product. The concept was promising, but the execution fell short in almost every aspect. The straws' inability to maintain a seal, the ineffective vacuum, and the consequent poor drinking experience make them a product I cannot recommend. In the world of reusable straws, there are many alternatives that far outshine this offering. Stainless steel, bamboo, or even traditional plastic straws provide a more reliable and pleasant drinking experience. While these alternatives might not offer the same easy-clean feature, they at least fulfill their primary function effectively. In conclusion, the VEIRRW Reusable Silicone Straws for Stanley Tumblers promised much but delivered little. The innovative idea of an openable, easily cleanable straw was undermined by fundamental design flaws that rendered the product ineffective. For those considering this product, I would advise saving your money and opting for more reliable alternatives. The search for the perfect reusable straw continues, and sadly, this product isn’t it.

OK straw, Easy to Clean
I tried these straws for my 40 oz. tumbler and they work okay, though I have had a few issues. First, I use LOTS of ice in my tumbler and if I forget to put the straw in first it won't go in easily and will bend a lot on the way down to the bottom. Sometimes that breaks the seal and makes it difficult at best to get a big drink. Second, while I like that the straws are easy to wash, if I'm not careful which side goes on top as it rolls back together I find that it doesn't seal properly and I suck up lots of air when I drink through it. If you don't use ice and pay attention to how it rolls back together after washing I am sure you will like these.

Good for alternate use
Full disclosure: I ordered these to cut up and use as pen grips. They work pretty well for that, although they don't completely close around the stick pens I'm using them on. As far as their intended use, I don't know how well they seal, but I definitely like the idea of being able to access the full inside for cleaning. I am a little skeptical of cleaning brushes. I prefer sponges. That said, I'm aware of other designs of split straws, and I like the simplicity of this design - no straw-length crevices to make sure get thoroughly cleaned and dried. If you're looking for a split straw to actually use as a straw, I would recommend trying this design first since the whole idea is to make it easier to clean. I also appreciate that they come individually sealed so it's not necessary to wash before first use.

Really like these straws and they zip open for easy cleaning.
Cleaning straws as meant finding the straw brush which being small gets misplaced from time to time. I like that these straws just peel open to clean. When the straw is in the proper position it works like a straw should.
