An absolute must for tomatoes
I use this stuff every year now. I've even grown plants from the same planting with it and without it, just to see if it made a difference. And it is very clear. When transplanting from seedling pots to permanent pots, there is an immediate boost in growth for the plants planted on top of one of these pucks. Simple to use and super-effective. I won't plant without them, now.

This is the first year I have used them and Hopefully I will get good results with my toms. Easy to use and the price is quite good

They work
I have done a trail with tomatoes, aubergines and capsicums where I added these to some pots before their final one. The ones with, had a considerably better root growth and looked really healthy, whilst not being so tall as others in the trial. I have now potted into final pots with the starters under the rest. I suggest these have a wider use than just tomatoes and will use them so next year.

Not sure what you mean about flavour (dunno what tomatoes would taste without they product ..) but yes great product to feed young plants... er.. @Mrs Emma Lucy Jordan you need to use it TOGETHER with your tomatoes to help them grow ahahah!!!
