Great read
A fantastic legal thriller.

fast paced legal thriller with a difference
Great build up of the characters - the author spent more time in building up the character of the various protagonists than build a complicated legal case. Without giving anything away, this book is more about the difference between what is morally right vs legally right.

Too much description of legal system. For any reader outside England will find it anbit drag. The book was lengthy witj small font.

A fine legal thriller
Here's Rob Rinder's The Trial, a perfect legal thriller writer by a celebrity barrister himself. Set in London, the story follows Adam Green— a young Jewish pupil barrister who has been allotted the most sensational case in London's history. Grant Cliveden— a highly celebrated and well respected police officer drops dead inside the courtroom right in front of a room full of people. The accused is James Knight— the man who has a history of bad blood with Cliveden and who claims he's innocent. Adam and his insufferable pupil master Jonathan has to represent Knight and the worst part is Jonathan has no faith in this case. He knows it's a failed case from start and the best outcome for Knight would be to claim his guilt. But Adam is convinced there's more to Knight and Cliveden than what meets the eye.Adam Green, the shy and meek pupil barrister, leaves no page unturned to work out this case and get into the deep end. Which will prove quite dangerous for Adam who is trying to hide his own past and who is trying to earn his place in the courtroom as a junior barrister. This legal thriller was wonderfully crafted, with such characters whom you will cheer on and some who will make you want to barf on. The author's experience as a barrister elevated the reading experience as I got to learn about the intricate way in which lawyers, solicitors and barristers work in a web-like system. This book was basically a wonderful brain food and I absolutely could not guess the ending.
