Netgear Orbi RBK40 AC2200 Tri-Band Home Wi-Fi System with Router and Satellite Extender (White)

I was looking for wifi mesh system for my home to get good connectivity throughout the home. After going through so many reviews I went ahead with ORBI.For initial 15 days it worked well but now the satellite keeps on disconnecting multiple times in a day. It becomes a issues when it happens in between skype business call.Whenever this happen it needs restart. I scrolled all the related topics in netgear community and almost everyone is suffering from it with no solution.I passes the return window and now stucked with this waste product.

Easy to setup. Put the router on to the internet provider's wan cable. Use the Orbi app to configure the router. Once you are connected to the internet, just turn on the satellite and it will automatically connect to the main router. Its better to keep the satellite in the middle of the house so that you get good connectivity. The router app could have been better with additional options to configure scheduling, managing the separate wifi bandwidth & managing the router led color etc... Overall good buy and I can fully utilise the 200Mbps connection speed from ISP.

Satellite to the router backhaul status remained as poor even after taking the help of orbi tech support. Apparently there should not be any concrete walls between the router and satellite. Wifi range is pretty good. But the speeds are not good for devices connected to the satellite (probably because of the backhaul status). Installation through the mobile app did not work, so had to switch to the laptop. Orbi tech support is great. Devices are really bulky not as sleek as the competitors. Even the power adapters are bulky. Manufacturing date on the package was two years ago, not sure if this is a concern though as the router automatically gets the software updates.

The coverage of the router is excellent. However, the installation process could have been much better addressed in the quick setup guide. Installing with an Act internet connection and PPoE setup is not at all described and one can only find it accidentally.

Excellent product for a house of 4000 sft. First thing to after turning on the router is to update the firmware. The firmware shipped in the box has some limitations of not accepting numerals as ppoe login credentials. I am also using Ethernet as a back haul. Surprisingly the 5Ghz signal strength is decent in even interior rooms while my old routers 2.4 GHz use to die down in these areas.. bottom line is that good router to buy .. I was considering Tplink m5 which doesn't have extra gigabit ports on the routers..

The product is fairly easy to set up and can be done using the mobile app itself even if the website offers better feature set. It takes around 15-20 mins to set it up if you already have an existing ISP model (or wifi router). The coverage is pretty good (I tested it over a 1500 sq ft apartment) and I no longer face dropped VoIP calls from pockets of my apartment.

Overal is serving the purpose but could do better considering the high price. I have a 2400 sq ft house with three bedrooms. It covers most of the house but doesn't reach the master bedroom. It gives a low speed of 2 Mbps on a 200 Mbps airtel broadband. My master bedroom is right next room to my office where I already get 200 Mbps, thanks to the satellite.Also, the package came torn and tampered, someone had opened the box and the router, nothing is missing but you don't expect that either when you're ordering a high-value item on Amazon.It's not acceptable.

bought this on prime day so got some additional discount. But it still is expensive. Does the job that it promises- i now have good coverage all over my two storey house with very little loss of speed. Setting it up wasnt very smooth. Didnt get set up from the app. I had to use the desktop and try a few times to get it set up and running. But as soon as it was set up, its been smooth sailing.The other complaint i have is though this says it works for a 4000 sq home, the cover of the product when i got it says it works upto 250 sq metres. It wasnt a problem for me but i did feel that was a false promise on the part of the seller.

Router disconnects & re-connects through out the day...tried all suggested remedies and none have worked. Cannot get online support from Netgear anylonger even though they never repaired the problem. This is a known with this Router, per other message boards & does not come close to covering 5,000 square feet. At this point it is probably going to have to be thrown out & I'll to try something different.
