Better 2nd Gen, accuracy and creepy factors remain
Update 3/7/18:My tracker started having several issues and after speaking with the support team, the cause was identified. Eight made sure the product functioned as advertised and resolved the issues I was having. The new cover has worked flawlessly... that is to say, the heat works on schedule and the app registers the sleep patterns of myself and spouse. I am upgrading a star after a great week of sleep in a warm comfy bed.1st review:I'm suspicious of these 5 star reviews... there are only 15, they rave about the product, and fail to mention the inaccuracy, comfort, and fit.I must admit I have only two days of data but...My 3 star rating is tentative and subject to change.Inaccuracy- apparently I sleep walk for 15 minutes with my spouse following 2 minutes after? Last night had the worst sleep I've had in a long time, likely do to illness though my tracker says I met the goal of 84. I was awake, tossing, turning, soaked in sweat the entire night! The previous night I believed the 87 score (despite the awake and left bed for 15 minutes) as I did sleep well.Comfort- The cover is quite stiff. It is akin to sleeping on a heating pad or hospital bed when applied to a once comfortable mattress. The placement of the electronics box and power cord on the left side of the bed are an unfortunate and nagging reminder to the sleeper on that side of the bed, you are now sleeping on a crispy plastic pad beneath your sheet even if you can ignore the discomfort.Fit- The cover is obviously oversized to fit a mattress that the princess and the pea would adore. If you have the rare 16" thick mattress perhaps it will fit well, however it will lack the feel of a well fit sheet and thin protective cover. We sleep on an off-brand/generic memory foam mattress, we have for many years. We have owned a few different brands and sizes over the years and slept on a premium pillow top prior (DO NOT GET THIS FOR A SPRING MATTRESS, I can only imagine how much this would ruin the sleep of those who are accustomed to pillow top springs). If we had a pillow-top spring I am certain I would have boxed this up for return in the middle of the first night. As is, on a firm memory foam I am willing to keep giving a try but keep in mind the reviews you might see, might be too good to be true.As I mentioned above... If you've ever laid on a plastic heating pad you can imagine what it would feel like to sleep on a full body size version.BTW, you won't need the heat function, the non-breathable layer of vinyl will make you sweat without ever setting to warm.I'm a smart home enthusiast and early adopter so I am thinking I'll give it the benefit of the doubt and 'sleep on it' at least a few more days. One last thing, "they" are collecting your sleep data and also any other 'activity' you may have in bed! I know this after contacting tech support and they knew the status of my mattress by email address. Oh, and the Echo/Alexa app is non-existent at this time according to that CSR that knew whether I was in bed or not.UPDATE: After a few weeks sleeping... I'm quite convinced that the tracker is not tracking very well.I had one of the worst nights sleep ever last week (as in did not sleep but for an hour) and I had a high sleep score in the morning. The app and pad seem to fabricate your sleep quality. I think the only thing the tracker does is sense movement. I can be in bed wide awake and not tossing and turning and it will report that I was in deep sleep. The heart rate and respiratory sensors are very questionable 40-50 HR and 13 BPM are pretty low for anyone let alone a 6'4" 250lb male. The most glaring evidence of the pad's inaccuracy is the "break" or "out of bed" on your sleep timeline. 9 out 10 times it does not register that I have left the bed. Only a few times has it been accurate. Worse, It will tell you that you were out of bed for 10+ minutes when you have no memory of it! Where did I sleep walk to? Security system shows no activity - perhaps I was floating just above the mattress?

Can't recommend this product. Extremely unreliable.
I really wanted to like this product, but it's extremely buggy and not at all ready for production. I should have read the Google Play reviews before purchasing, as many others appear to have experienced the same issues. I suspect all the 5-star reviews here on Amazon aren't genuine. When it works, it's not bad. I purchased it for two reasons; heating to save electricity in the winter and home automation. When it's working, it does heat up rather nicely. Unfortunately, the device constantly loses connection with the wifi. You can manually unplug/ plug it back in and it'll usually fix it temporarily. Having to do it every time you want to use the app is ridiculous though. As for the home automation side, it would take a long time to signal that I was in bed (or not at all), effectively making it useless from that standpoint. I had high hopes for integrating with Home Assistant. Hopefully, they will create an official API some day for HASS to integrate with.I wish the company luck and hope they can correct these issues. Perhaps I'll give them another shot in the future. As for now, I'm sending this back and am going another route.

Very buggy app and software and very slow customer service response
Totally non existent customer service. I'll change my rating if they ever get back to me as the product itself is pretty fun to use, but without technical support for the very buggy ap/software - its a very expensive heated mattress pad at this point, and i can find much cheaper options. Plus, its a bit noisy to use (kind of a slight papery sound when you flip over, but not uncomfortable)>Considering sending this back if i can't get response to my emails/phone calls/facebook questions/twitter questions. I've left them all and have zero response back from the eight team.Updated 9/4/2018: the initial issue got resolved, but now getting very random data. Like it says we went ot bed at 1130am, and iddn't get up until 10:20 the next morning... currently getting cutsomer support, but its a very slow process.

Will not Support known defect
I enjoyed this product after I initially got it, but was a little disappointed that the integration with google was not stable (not sure if this is the fault of Google or Eight), but regardless voice commands rarely worked for me. This was not a big issue as the mobile app does allow you to create a schedule and I just relied on that to make sure that the bed was appropriately pre-warmed.The real problem came when I tried to use it for the first time as the weather turn cold this year. The product no longer worked at all. I contract customer support via email and provided a description of how it was not heating and they were very responsive telling me exactly where to look to identify if there was a problem (as if this were a known defect that they experience often). I followed the instructions sent them a picture of the wiring, and there response was "Due to an issue with the cables in the connector in cover, we will need to replace the Sleep tracker". They then asked to confirm my order details and now after sending them my order information they have determined that I am not under warranty and it is no longer their problem. For over $300 when other mattress warmers are half the price or less I would have expected them to have better quality so that these types of issues do not happen, and when they do the company should stand by their product and fix the mistake they made.I would not purchase from Eight again and recommend that you think carefully about what your expectations are before purchasing from them as well.

Its an overpriced electric blanket.
The Wi-Fi keeps going out on this device. Sometimes the sleep tracker is accurate. You have to reset the power in order to reconnect. Save your money.
