Magic: The Gathering Foundations - Beginner Box

A couple years ago I taught my daughters, 9 & 10, to play MTG over a three day ice storm and they liked it but we didn’t stick to it.Don’t know why but it got brought up and we tried it again with my girlfriend and it was a mixed bag.Then I bought the Foundations starter box and they love it!I just wish I could get them to switch to my cards, all from the 90’s.I highly recommend this Starter Box, it has, I think, 10 twenty card decks that you pick two of and mix them together and play 40 card games. They said they love the mats that it comes with.Have fun. I also recommend the Bloom burrow set, it’s bunnies, squirrels, and forest creatures, not zombies and monsters.

Excellent starter box. You get everything you could need to learn to play WITH a friend. Two dice, two boardgame style play mats, 2 beginner rule cards and two beginner rule books. I love the "learn with a friend" concept of all of the beginning and start kits. I got a jazal goldmane! Instant commander deck material. (These decks appear to be preset btw they come in plastic not the typical random set card packs. I believe everyone gets the exact same cards outta this)

Foundations is one of the best Magic sets ever. If not for Bloomburrow (another stellar set), this would be set of the year. Solid set up and down with beautiful chase cards and great mechanics. The collector booster specifically is one of the best and for the first time in a LONG time it has an MSRP of $24.99! Great price for a great product. The chase cards only available in the collector boosters make it fun - especially the mana foil. The number of beautiful borderless cards is higher than normal (or at least seems that way). And for the collector it has a good number of high value cards.

Great if you're looking to build up a collection of cards. It comes with over 500 cards and supplemental material explaining the game and how to build your own decks for standard. It also includes copies of Sol Ring, Command Tower, Arcane Signet; these are staple cards for the Commander format, so this product could also serve as a step into Commander as well, but it is still a product built around creating your own 60 card decks for constructed formats.

Fast and correct - sometimes buying cards online can go awry but not this time! My girl loved it and now is fully addicted to MTG. Thanks y'all <3

I really appreciate the included learning materials, plus I like the variety of challenger decks included. I like the card dividers, foldable board game style game mats, and included dice and counters. I absolutely love the fact that the included learning decks are premade so that you can follow along with the beginner guides, and that there is a reference for words and actions that otherwise would fly over heads. I do wish that the books were smaller and the box had more storage options, despite these small limitations, I think this is great for a beginner players and players looking to have a casual game of magic.(Plus this will teach my GF far better than I can lol)

This is a must have if you're just getting into magic the gathering or joining back up after a long hiatus, contains a number of useful rares and a land base that can be difficult to build as a new player as well as a variety of useful staples for standard or commander format play.

The box arrived in perfect condition with the heat wrap fully intact. I had watched a lot of ytube videos to learn as this is my first experience with magic cards. There were some unfavorable reviews that discourage buying from Amazon but my experience is an A+++ My son has played since 1994 and I gather he’s an expert! I’m a 72 year old gramma and decided I’d surprise him on family night and learn it. This is a great start!!!! Still confused but there is hope 🤣
