Very sturdy not flimsy like other tripod types

Does the job. If you are using all the time would not get but once in a while not bad. It’s a lot of pieces.

Opening it, the first thing I noticed was how many poles are included. They all have label stickers on them, numbering 1 through 9. However, the 9s and 6s are not differentiated by a line, so you can't tell them apart. Also, the stickers start to fall off/get destroyed once you start screwing parts together. So before I got too confused, I spent the time to double-check what each piece was and numbered them with a silver paint pen and a silver sharpie on multiple areas of each part. So now they are all clearly marked. I recommend doing this as it will save you worrying about stickers falling off, or having to see if that 6 is actually a 9, or having to spin every piece because the one sticker is facing away from you, etc.So once I was able to clearly and quickly see which piece was which, assembling the thing was actually quite easy. The whole thing is modular, allowing an array of different heights and lengths depending on how large you need the backdrop to be. The manual has easy-to-read diagrams. The 10’ x 7’ version which uses all the pieces is large enough to use as a photo backdrop for multiple people, or a chroma key backdrop for a two-shot.Once set up, it is fairly sturdy, however: it is made from lightweight materials, so I wouldn’t recommend setting it up outside, even with the included sandbags (which come empty, btw. Add your own sand) unless it’s an especially mild day and you are setting up a smaller configuration.The included clamps work well for securing a screen, but it only includes 6 of them. Not really enough to properly secure a massive screen, but smaller screens/backdrops should work fine. The clamps are also a little stiff in the tension department, so I would not recommend using any kind of fragile backdrop or screen. Paper would be a mistake. Another small con I have found is that the paint on the parts that screw together started chipping right away. Also, not a con but worth mentioning: It doesn’t include (nor does it claim to include) a green screen or backdrop. This is just the frame.

I am not a photographer, so I don't always need a professional backdrop, but I got this to have when I need it. I went to set it up, and saw many pieces in the kit. I didn't feel like going through with it, but here are some observations:-The parts are metal and durable.-Well designed for intended application-Has two bags that you can add weight to for stability (eg bottles of water)-Comes with 6 clamps to hold your cloth backdropIt looks pretty easy to assemble, and there are multiple size options based on your needs.

This is a typical stand you would get from Amazon. They all say heavy duty but alot are just the same. This will tip over if you bump into it.

We've honestly only used this for a photo back drop one time. However, we have set it up and moved it around quite a bit as a frame to hand a sheet on for a projector. And for that second purpose, this thing does its job! It's pretty decent stability even when on uneven grass or other surfaces, and it's great when setting it up indoors. We currently have it handing out in the basement as a place to pop up the projector and watch family movies or play some games on. Great quality. Pretty fantastic for whatever frame you need. I'm sure you could tie a bunch of balloons on for a squared balloon archway if that's what you're into.

This backdrop stand is exactly as advertised. It’s not made to hold heavier items like lights or anything, but for a basic backdrop stand for vinyl or paper backdrops, it works perfect. Comes with a carrying bag which is nice if you’re taking somewhere. Super easy to setup. That being said, I only use the bag for the extra clips that hold the backdrop to the stand. I leave it mostly all connecting as its just another timely task if you have to screw them in and unscrew them every time. Comes with stickered numbers that correlate with where the poles go and can be resize depending on which poles you use. That being said, the stickers kept coming off mine so I just added my own stickers. The Sandbags that are included are very handy in keeping the stands stable, IF, you remember that they go on first, before adding the extension pieces. Overall It’s pretty great for the price. Most of the time it’s just setup at my home and I rarely take it out of the house so I don’t have to keep setting up and tearing down all the time.
