Great book. It got here earlier than expected.

Parents and Teachers Beware of “Fundations!!” As a former elementary educator, now witnessing my own kindergarten daughter being taught handwriting through “Fundations” curriculum, I am completely appalled!! This curriculum teaches children to form their letters INCORRECTLY. Practice makes permanent! This is NOT how to correctly form letters. There is no instruction, no guidance, no modeling! Where are the arrows? How do children know in which direction to move their pencils? Do they start at the top? The bottom? Fundations doesn’t show them. Fundations creates poor penmanship and lazy students, who won’t learn, at an early age, the importantance of precision and practice. And, sadly, children are using this curriculum daily, all across the country, to permanently learn an incorrect way to write. I can’t believe some school districts use this curriculum. It’s really upsetting! If your school uses “Fundations,” for writing, your child is NOT getting a proper education. Your child is not being taught to write the same way that you were taught. Call the school and let them know. I did. There are so many other, much better, handwriting methods and tools out there! Please don’t teach your child this way.
