The pencil cases expand or contract using a compression zipper. There's a big main pocket, a small zipper pocket and a flap for holding 5 of my most used writing utensils (with elastic bands and a mesh pocket to keep them organized). The zippers work smooth and appear to be durable. Each set includes a pencil pouch, 12 colored highlighter pens (colors are much lighter than shown in the images), 6 cute mechanical pencils (3-0.7 and 3 0.5 sizes), 5 black ink gel pens, 5 gel pen refills, a box of 100 0.5 2B and a box of 100 2B 0.7 pencil lead refills, 4 jelly erasers, 6 correction tape, and 10 different colors of index sticker mounted on a plastic snap in 14 cm ruler.The colors for the highlighters and index flags are more vintage type, easy on the eyes colors. The pencil lead refills are longer than standard size refills and they are 2B hardness. I prefer 2B leads since they're easy to erase but lay down darker on a wider variety of paper types than harder leads. The mechanical pencils have a smooth plastic body with a rounded triangular shape that's both easy to hold and doesn't roll. There are small erasers under the cap. The gel pens are very nice. They have a little weight to them that feels well made. The barrel is has that slightly rubberized feel that is comfortable to use and grip. The gel ink flows very smooth without issue. The refills seem to be a standard size.This appears to be an excellent value for 2 well stocked pencil cases. The colors are very attractive, the items I've tried have all worked perfectly. This was an absolute surprise and delight to receive.

The two large pen cases are not only cute but also spacious enough to hold all the supplies without feeling cluttered.
