Very pleased with my purchase. After a week of researching for the best product for the job at hand. I have a slow leak in my in-ground pool that will only be resolved with new pool liner and just don’t have the funds right now after JUST installing a home generator and on the heels of a new pool pump 🤦🏼‍♀️… Have been losing about 2” of water per 24h in this Florida heat. Tired of having to fill constantly and worrying about burning up my pool pump as it’s automatic.Came quickly and as described. Easy to put together right out of the box. Unfortunately, it’s all plastic BUT it is very thick and seems to be very well made and sturdy- time will tell in our Florida sun how it holds up to the UV rays. I took away a star because it’s very ‘fiddely’ getting the bobber/water leveler sorted out and set. I’m worried it will break as it’s very thin plastic holding the ‘water bobber/leveler’. At first, it almost seemed too short a neck (that goes into the water) and I literally turned it till the end of the nob that holds the bobber/leveler and it came off… (oops!) A few curse words later and a sprits in the face got me back on track and I managed to get it back together and try again. I am at the very end of the bobber/water level float but it seems to be working. I haven’t lost much (if any) water at all in the last 24hrs since I installed it.My pool doesn’t have an angled ledge so I didn’t have to put sand or rocks in the unit to keep it in place- I will for safety but I don’t foresee it going anywhere the way I have it set up.It has 2 little back legs that twist out for those who do have an uneven/angled pool ledge which is helpful.All in all a good purchase. It’s simple and it works. I don’t think it’s worth the price as it’s all plastic in all honesty but it is what it is.

In just one month, my pool has overflowed twice because the float has gotten stuck. Be very careful if you use this product. I’m not sure if it’s defective or just a design flaw. I hope the seller can provide some advice. At this point, I might go back to filling pool directly by hose and time the fill process with a timer. I’ll update this review if things change over the summer, but for now it is somewhat worthless.

This pool filler works great

I've only had the Pool Sentry a few days, but I already love it. The fact of the matter is that my pool has a small leak and I live in a windy area, so the water drop I experience is noticable. I'm also supplying the Pool Sentry with water directly from our artesian well, from which the water is supplied at about 18psi with no booster pump. I was concerned about how this might work with that low of a pressure, given that built-in automatic pool fillers generally recommend 50psi or more for the device to function properly. So far my Pool Sentry has been in the pool for 3 days and the water level has stayed exactly where I set it without having to tweak anything. Very handy, it will be a great bit of peace of mind when I'm traveling.The only thing I'd like to point out is that it took a bit of playing with the hose connection to get it to work because of the tight clearances between the metal ring that screws onto your garden hose and the plastic tube behind it. I had to pull pretty firmly on the metal ring for it to come forward enough so that there would be enough threads for the coupling to connect to the hose with the rubber washer in place. Otherwise, easy and quick!
