The Last Ever After: Book 3 (The School for Good and Evil)

"You can’t make happiness…All you can do, is make an ending.”
Well...The School for Good and Evil has been a series that has constantly surprised me because even at the moments I guessed would come, there would be some sort of twist to the action, something to make it just that bit different from what I expected. Chainani seemed to be playing with expectations all throughout this series, and the final book is no exception. Actually, it takes the bar, flings it away and storms ahead of the reader, gleefully calling on them to catch up.The story focuses on our three main characters; Agatha, Tedros, and of course, Sophie. Agatha and Tedros are arguing so much and Sophie is completely unsure of her choice but so desperate for love - so desperate that she'd go to any lengths to make sure she had it. Agatha, on the other hand, is so doubtful of herself - the idea of being a Queen, whether or not she and Tedros really are true love. The one thing that she and her Prince can agree on? They both miss their friend, and set out to get her back. And from there, Chainani basically makes you question every aspect of the fairy tales you've ever read. The characters call out others for their actions and constantly question their own, all while the plot speeds ahead because the sun is melting and one day it just won't rise...As for the ending? I won't like - it wasn't the ending that I had hoped for. That being said, it was a brilliant ending, one that was perfect for the series, and that fitted in with each book previous to it. It was a true, happy ending, one that works on many levels: the main one being that it is both true to the characters, and does not just fob them off with a consolation prize. (Though bet you now some people will argue it does).Long story short? Just... wow. If the movie tales are true? This is going to be my favourite one to see adapted

The Best Ever After
When beginning to read this book I wondered whether it would be able to be as great or if not greater than the previous books. I was very wrong, as I found that despite the war that had occured meaning losses of lives, the ending was someething special. The whole book is about trying to find the perfect ending after Tedros and Agatha realize just how much Sophie means to them. The ending is not what the three of them expected but it was better than that.Sophie finally saw that Agatha being happy was the best ever after and gave her enough happiness. Sophie also learnt that she never needed the love of a prince to have her grand ever after as no matter what Agatha would ALWAYS love her.I hope this was a helpful review and you enjoy the book just as much as i did.

I love it!
I absolutely love tgis series, from book 1-6. I am writing this reveiw on about…the 3rd time im reading the series and each time you read you find new things that you ddn't find the 1st time you read it. As i said before I absolutely love it and reccomend it to people 9-13. It's one of my favourite books. Why I Only Gave It 4 Stars Instead Of 5:<<spoilers>>Soman keeps indicating that the 3 main characters aren't that smart (And he is a bit sexist all theough the series, but I don't really mind that. as I get that that is how the other world works.) One point on this is when Agatha and Tedros meet thes League of 13. Another when Hester, Anadil and Dot wak into Sopbie's lesson late with an excuse that shortly after, if your paying attention, is proved fake.Other than that LOVE the book. :) :D C:sorry for any grammatical, spelling or puntctuation mistakes…

Fantastic read for any age group - I couldn't put it down
I read book 1 at the recommendation of my 9 year old daughter who loved it. I was sceptical at first but then was very surprised at the depth of characters and the wonderfully descriptive world they live in.Agatha and Sophie's story of a troubled friendship and the school for good and evil continues with a variety of issues relating to boys, family, school and teachers. I have not found this story predictable in any way. It has shocked me, made me cry and made me feel the intense disappointments and anxieties of the characters. This has been very different to other books I have read. I enjoyed the arrival of the fairy tale characters we know and love. I was surprised that my daughter was ready for a book with so much depth as this but in fact it is these books that have made her turn a corner with her reading. These are classics and will be talked about for years, I am telling all my friends to read them and I'm quite sure I will have to read them again. Enjoy !!

Fairytale subversion need I say more.
I am thourghly enjoying this book, at the time of writing this review I haven’t finished reading it but i’m nearly there. This is the 3rd book and you need to read them in order but if you love fairytales and the subversion of them then this series is well worth a look it’s funny, sad, thought provoking at times and a great adventure.

Packed with absolutely everything you need
Don't you think a book is perfect only when it doesn't fail to give you all kinds of feelings at once? Yes, this is it. Pain, giggles, adventures all packed in one and only one book. Feeling satisfied now that I'm done with it. Have already ordered the 4th one.

I love it but...
This is so unexpected and sad :'c I love these books but this one has an irregular shape at the border or the pages, it doesn't matter that much because you can still read the book and that but It's not what I expected.
