Not just for the kitchen
After about a 2 year hunt for a glass dish that would fit in my terrarium base, I found this dish! Excitement with much jumping and happy hand waving ensued!!! It was exactly what I was looking for! always need to remember things can be used for things other than why they were manufactured. So very happy!

Perfect for tiramisu
I wanted a deep glass dish specifically for tiramisu and trifles this is perfect! I got the 8x8 size which I found is perfect for feeding 6-8 people. The dish is solid and I love that it comes with a lid for transporting.

Just as Advertised
I’ve been looking for a baking dish that was deep enough to make a lasagna with more than 2 or 3 layers. Up until now I’ve been wasting money on disposable aluminum pans that are at least 3 inches deep and often times I have to get pans that are way larger than necessary for my small family. But just means more left-overs to munch on throughout the week. With this 3+ inch glass dish I can make my 5 layer lasagna while no longer hassling with flimsy disposable pans. This is a decent glass dish but I’m not too keen in the way the lid attaches, as it just pushes inside the rim and isn’t very snug thanks to it being packed with a plastic bag wrapped around the lid while it was installed in the dish. Of course that is going to compress the gasket more than normal and render it loser than it should be.

Broken lid
This is the first time I used this dish. The top is already broken no hope for the future of the top.I suspect it was broken when I received it no doubt but I didn’t notice it.

VERY HEAVY SQUARE TEMPERED GLASS BAKING DISH; BPA-FREE PLASTIC LID - I'M AMBIVALENT
At first glance, this dish is impressive. It is very heavy, and much taller than a normal 8" square baking dish. It is made of thick tempered glass, and measures 8" across and about 3 1/2" tall. It has rounded corners for easy cleanup. The lid is BPA-free plastic with a vent. It does not have any handles. When I used this, I had trouble putting the lid securely on the dish, even with the vent open to allow for air to escape. One corner just would not securely close. So, my dish is not leakproof. The glass is thick and decent. But my dish has two very small defects, pits, on the inside of the bottom. I don't know if these will at some point fracture under the stress of heating and cooling. And the included care instructions say the lid is NOT microwaveable, which surprised me.I absolutely do not recommend you hand wash this dish. I did that when it arrived before I used it. This dish is heavy, and when it has soap on it, and being so tall, it is slippery and difficult to hang onto. I nearly dropped it in the sink twice while handling it.This will work well for casseroles, desserts, leftovers. But I am not sure the higher sides are useful and a good tradeoff for the extra weight.Care instructions included with dish: "GLASS: Do not use on or under a flame. Do not heat empty or nearly empty glassware in the microwave. Avoid handling hot glassware without appropriate protection for your hands. Be careful when handling broken glass. Broken glass pieces may be extremely sharp and difficult to locate. Do not use or repair any glassware that is broken, chipped, cracked or severely scratched. Glassware is dishwasher safe and may also be washed by hand. "PLASTIC LID: "Can be used in a refrigerator or freezer. Do not use in a convection oven or microwave oven. Do not use on or under a flame. Removable seal must be properly in place and all edges of the lid must be secured onto glass in order to eliminate leaks."Thanks for reading :)
