Price good but sponge too stiff.
The price was good, but they are too stiff. They almost wipe the foundation off if you're not careful. I accidentally dropped my makeup sponge in the trash and replaced it with these. Maybe with time and cleansing it will work itself out.

Not the best
Almost impossible to spread foundation with. Creates a streaky application. Will not re-purchase.

How Does This Compare To Beauty Blender (Makeup Artist's Perspective)
As a makeup artist, I have the opportunity to use a variety of tools to apply makeup. One thing that is very key in applying flawless foundation and concealer is a good Beauty Blender. The Tatu Blending sponge appears to be similar, let's see how it works?WHAT IS THIS LIKE?This sponge is shaped so that you can use one end to apply foundation to a broad area of the face. The other side is pointed so that you can get into small crevices such as around the nose and eyes with the sponge. They are soft and have more of a smooth surface.HOW DO YOU USE THIS?The way to use these sponges is to soak them in water. They will expand a bit in size. Once they are expanded, you squeeze out all of the water. The idea is that you apply cake or other thicker foundations with the sponge by touching it to the foundation, and then bouncing it around the skin.HOW DOES THIS COMPARE TO BEAUTY BLENDER?The beauty blender is an egg shaped sponge. It comes traditionally in hot pink, but is also available in other colors. That sponge has a more porous texture to it. It gets almost double in size. When you bounce the sponge on the skin, it causes the texture of the foundation to go on the skin in more of a mottled fashion which makes it a bit more natural looking. When using the Tatu, I found that in some cases, the smooth surface only seemed to move some of the foundation around the face. I did not find that it went on quite as well as using the Beauty Blender, but in some cases, it was okay.HOW TO CLEANThe best way to clean this sponge is this:Use a bit of olive oil and work that into the sponge surface where it needs to be clean. Once you have done that, then apply soap and water and squeeze it out. In most cases, the sponge will be cleaned up to look almost good as new.THE BOTTOM LINEIf you can not afford a Beauty Blender, this set of two will do a sufficient job with foundation and concealer. Is it as nice as a Beauty Blender? Not in my experience, but it is a good sponge especially for teens or those who are experimenting makeup or just want a quick sponge they do not have to throw away.MY RATINGFour stars. I don't think it is quite as nice to apply foundation and makeup as the Beauty Blender, but it is sufficient in a pinch.

Smoothing foundation application and easy to clean
This is the first time in years that I tried a sponge to apply my makeup. Until now I've been simply using my fingers. And I like the difference of using this sponge instead. The instructions say to soften it with water before using it, but that only works with water base foundations. The make-up I wear is not water based, and this sponge still works for me. After using it I wash it and let it, so it stays clean and bacteria free.

Despite the Slightly Disturbing Look of These, They Work Well
Okay, maybe my mind is in the gutter, but there is something about the shape and color of these sponges that seems a tad phallic so me, and for that reason, I subtract one point from my rating. That issue aside, I love thee sponges for applying makeup and blending it as well. They rinse out easily under running water and do a great job of creating the right amount of coverage from foundation and cover-ups. Maybe another color would be more pleasing?
