I took this with me to a program on uranium glass, and the presenter raved about it! We compared what he had been using to this one and couldn't believe how much brighter this was. It was really my first time trying it out, but it worked great and I really like that it is rechargeable.

If you have cats, then this light is for you! As the proud parent of two feline companions, I can tell you that companionship has challenges. In my case, it is that one of the cats will pee in areas as a way to either mark territory or as a reaction to fear. Returning home to the smell of cat pee is sub-optimal. Not being able to address the situation is unacceptable. My previous UV flashlight worked, but was not very bright and took 3 AAA batteries to operate. This meant increased costs over time from replacement batteries and needing ideal lighting to properly locate stains.This UV Flashlight solves both of those issues! It is significantly brighter by multiple orders of magnitude meaning that I can locate even small stains during daytime hours. The charging ability also makes it suitable and less costly as replacement batteries are not needed. This is especially important as my youngest child likes to play with it and tends to leave it on.The added accessories are nice, but not the greatest quality. It would have been fine to just receive the flashlight at a lower price point.That is where my only complaint is. At the default price, this flashlight is not a great value. It ticks all the boxes and does everything right, but it is more expensive than it is worth. On the other hand, when there is a sale (33% off at the time of writing), this flashlight is a far more compelling value.If you have pets, then this UV flashlight is worth considering. It works well and should last for years. I would consider recommending this to those looking; especially if/when it's on sale.

We own several short term Airbnb style rental properties. We wash all the bedding, including the comforters after every guest. I have a UV flashlight that I carry around to each of the homes just to use on the upholstered chairs and couches to make sure that they are clean after every guest. I’ve been using one flashlight for three houses and decided it’s kind of a pain, I want a flashlight to leave at each house as opposed to sharing one for all of them. I ordered this so that I could keep it at one of the houses. I wanted to test it out to make sure that it worked so I turned the lights off in our house and walked through shining the carpet. I was absolutely repulsed by what I found!We had a dog that we had to put down about six months ago because she was just too old and in pain. We travel a lot so it was common to leave a housesitter here with the dog one week every month. The housesitter used to be fantastic, but one of our neighbors told us at the end they suspected she wasn’t really spending any time here with the dog like she was supposed to be. She worked for us for so long that we didn’t want to believe that, but when we went through the house with this UV light, clearly our dog had made a lot of accidents on the carpet. They didn’t happen while we were here, so I’m pretty sure we know how it did happen. I wish we had known at the time that the poor girl wasn’t being let out like she was supposed to have been. Anyway, the point is as you can see from my photos, this light is amazing. It works really well and I’m sure that it is going to do a great job in our short term rental properties. Just take my word for it, use caution before you shine this on the floors around your house. It’s likely you will be disgusted and never want to lay on your carpet again.I prefer this light over the other one that I have because this is rechargeable through a USB-C port. My other one requires AAA batteries and it seems to actually go through the batteries pretty quickly for the amount of use that it gets. This is fantastic, simple to use right out of the box. It took me a literally a couple of seconds to figure out where the charging port was because you have to hold the frame or body of the light and twist the head so that it corkscrews out to find the charging port. Otherwise it’s pretty self-explanatory and incredibly easy to use, powerful and does a great job. It even made this glass jar that was in my office light up like a Christmas tree. Not sure what’s in the glass to make it do that but I thought it was pretty awesome and beautiful so I took a photo of it to add to this post. I have no hesitation giving this five stars, it works incredibly well and does exactly what I ordered it to do.
