Excellent quality, perfect replacement, Works perfectly. Even the tip that comes with it is good. You should calibrate your station for the new handle / element combination. If you don't have a tip calibrator, if you turn the temperature all the way down to 392 on the base station, adjust the calibration control on the base station so that 60/37 solder just melts when you touch it to the tip and it will be close.

If I were you (now) I would pass on this product. This solder handle is of poor quality. It destroyed two tips and is in unusable condition. I have had the hakko 936 solder station for about 25 years, long enough that it is discontinued! The original hakko model tips lasted roughly 10 years, the handles quite a bit longer. I ordered this replacement July 16. Today is sept 21. It went out again last week. In this period of time I have used it several times, maybe 2-3 hours total.

Looked, worked just like my original one.

Needed to replace my old one so I thought I would try this brand. Heats up well functions as it. The only problem is that the cable is about a foot shorter than my original. Other than that, good to go.
