DEBEL Pleated Blind, Flex, Fabric, White, 100 x 130 cm

This product was easy to install and use, but after 2 years and 3 months one of the strings have snapped. When I bought the product I was expecting not to worry about blinds again for a somewhat longer stretch..

I purchased 3 blinds for my upvc tilt and turn doors and 6 blinds for my upvc tilt and turn windows. I am very pleased and I intend to buy more for the rest of the windows and doors. I used the clamp brackets which were included with the original purchase (two on top and two on the bottom), which means that the blinds were installed without drilling and that the door or window moves with the blinds. It was not stated on the instructions leaflet that for this method of installation, you don't need the little plastic pieces shown on the first attached photo. First step was to remove them. The clamp opening width is adjustable: you must slide open the top square piece, fit the clamp on your window and slide the square piece back to secure in place. I found that on my windows the clamps were somehow fiddly, so I secured them with a sponge type double sided adhesive tape and now they stay in place securely. For one door, I had to cut down the width. I cut 7,5 cm off each side (total 15 cm) and it worked well. The distance between the blind edge and the cord channel is 10 cm on each side, but I would not recommend to cut more than 9 cm off each side. The top and bottom aluminium piece is sturdy and I couldn't make a clean cut with a handsaw, so I used an electric disk to cut it. The little channels inside these metal pieces were slightly distorted after cutting them, but it was very easy to shape them back with a screwdriver in order to clip the plastic end caps back in place. The blinds material is a very sturdy polyester and I had to use a very sharp knife in order to make a straight cut. In some places, I the edges frayed, but it was very easy to cut off the threads with a sharp pair of scissors, after the blinds were installed on the window and it doesn't show at all. (The cut blind is shown on fifth photo). My doors are tall (210 cm), and I wish the cords were slightly longer in order to be more manageable during the fitting process. After you fit them, you may cut off the excess cord. I did not, just in case I need to adjust something. I live in a hot sunny place and these blinds block out the sun while allowing the light to come in. I love them and the fact that you can choose to either move them from the top or bottom, depending on the time of day or your needs is very convenient.

Really like this blind, having it able to open from the top allows the trickle vent in the window to remain uncovered, but still allows privacy. Pretty easy to install, though as previously mentioned, a bit fiddly as the parts are so small. All in all very happy with this product.

Bought these as a cheap fix to stop the blinding sunlight streaming through my French doors without having to draw the curtains.Our puppy chewed the ends of the verticals we had previously (he is so lucky he is cute!), and the perfect fit blinds I had my eye on were too expensive to justify buying this close to Christmas. To say I am delighted with the Debel blind is an understatement!Easy to install, nice deep, warm grey colour and gives us the privacy and shade from the sun we wanted! Would recommend!

Look nice but the most difficult blind to fit. Instructions are inadequate as is the video. I would not buy them again for this reason. The no drill clip version of fitting does not fit UK windows. The attachments and screws/nuts are tiny and difficult to work with.

Excellent blind. Got a 70cm white and cut it down to 64cm. No problem. I suggest buying a new hacksaw blade and new utility knife with a long blade. The YouTube instructions on the DEBEL website are better than the printed instructions. Its fiddly as the parts are TINY. The tension also take a few goes to get right - too loose and the blind wont stay up. Too tight and and the handle falls off. Highly recommend! Very classy.

I have a window which I wanted the lower half covered all the time with the option of raising sometimes. This sits in whatever position you leave it in and still allows light through. It's for a cloakroom so privacy was important, which this provides.
