For years I have been buying either Sperry Topsiders or Sebago Docksiders. Lately, Sperry is moving at a break-neck pace to offer only "x" crossed lacing as opposed to the traditional tie laces. Fortunately, Sebago has not subscribed to this insanity, so I'll be buying from Sebago from now on. Sorry Sperry; you goofed.

The quality of the shoes was as expected--quite good. The Sebagos are a bit more shoelike than the equivalent Sperrys. They are a bit longer, a bit higher under the ankle, and a bit heavier. I generally wear boat shoes without socks, and that is certainly possible with these, but the Sperrys are more comfortable worn that way. I wanted a pair of gray boat shoes and these Sebagos are an attractive medium gray. I am not disappointed, but with my size feet--and I think I am a normal 13--the size 13 Sperrys fit like a glove and the size 13 Sebagos are a bit more loose.

My second pair and I. Really enjoy the shoe.Very comfortable, quickly molding to the foot, they are a joy on wet slick surfaces, or out for dinner.A great shoe, and very well worth the prices.

These are the most comfortable boat shoes I have ever worn, and I have been wearing this type of shoe for 25 years. The pair I just bought from Amazon is my second pair of this brand, and they are awesome.

This shoe was so cheaply made.This is not an exaggeration, it feel apart after 1 week of light wearing to the office.I looked down while at work, and the part where the side meets the 'tongue' of the shoe, was literally ripping apart.This is because it's held there by only a few threads which as you can see in the close up in the photo.These threads are very thin, and even by looking at them you can tell they are weak.AVOID THIS SHOE! It will fall apart in a week
