Round Campfire Grill Grid for Fire Rings 24-inch

I actually bought this as a cover for my burn barrel. It's a good thing I didn't plan on cooking on it - the first time I put it on top of my barrel - it did some extreme warping - it took on more of a dome shape. It works great for what I needed it for but might not recommend it for your grill. Admittedly it was not meant for a burn barrel but the heat that it was subjected to it wont be much different than a typical charcoal grill when lighting it with charcoal fluid.

A great grill for turning your fire pit into a cooker. My only caveat is that it's a full 24", meaning that it won't sit flat on a 24" diameter pit; it sits on the rim and may tilt slightly. But that's a minor criticism of a great grill at a great price.

We used two stacked truck rims to make our firepit and this fit PERFECTLY in the top bead. Burgers & steak are so much better over a campfire. We aren't the best with remembering to bring the grill in so it's been putside in all weather conditions and has yet to show any signs of rusting. Nice little grill!

This is not a 24" grate! It is 24.5" I am forced to bend it all up and use it for charcoal in my grill build. I will order a different grate that is 24" or less. A manufacturing company should know (I run one myself) that if they say 24" then it should certainly be no larger than 24". How do they expect customers to fit an oversized round thing into a round hole? Do they then consider customer expectations? If I had to take an educated guess, their tolerance on this product it +- 1/2". This means your grate could be from 23.5" to 24.5" Their tolerance should not exceed 24". My recommendation is to stay away from such a poorly manufactured item that their tolerance to 24" is so bad. I can't fault the seller for advertising this product as the manufacturing firm describes it, though the description should certainly be changed to reflect that there is no way of knowing the dimensions of the grate you will receive, though it may be near 24". Or perhaps the description should read "closer to 24" than other inches". Or maybe: "Not 23" or 25" but something in between" would be more appropriate. Or still again: "More or less 2 feet in diameter" and then the manufacturer could always describe an engineer's foot size for the discrepency in their tolerances, after all, who knows who's foot they used to engineer a 2 feet in diameter grill grate. There, I even provided some Continuous Improvement advice. Edward Deming would be so proud of me.
