Short but informative
There are so many diets out there that it can be hard to keep them straight. One of the things that I liked about this little book was that it explained the premise of the Shred Diet without getting too heavy into the details. I hate spending tons of time researching something only to find out that it isn't for me. The same goes for buying or reading a lengthy book that I end up never using. This gave me a great idea of what this diet was all about.I'll be the first to admit that the information wasn't ground breaking. It's a simple idea. Sometimes simple works best though. In a world of gimmicks and fads, it's refreshing to get back to the basics. There are no meal plans but I found those in other books. This book seemed to be more a summary of the other books available by Dr. Ian. Honestly, I view that as a time saver. Rather than buy those and possibly never use them, I can find out about them here. As it is, this system has captured my interest. It's not a comprehensive book but this is a good guide to start with!

Crash course on the Shred Diet!
This book is based on the famous diet, the Shred Diet. It attempts to explain it in a straightforward way, which I think it does.It explains what the diet is, and all the aspects of it. It spells out the history of the diet as well. There are also reasons listed as to why the diet works, which make a lot of sense.Additionally, there are foods listed that you can and cannot eat on the diet, as well as other helpful information on how to get through the diet’s stages.The book even includes links to other books you may want to read if you are interested.I would recommend this book to anyone that is interested in dieting or losing weight.

Concise Guide to the 6 week plan
This book is a clear concise guide to use alongside of the Shred Diet. It's written plainly so it is easy to understand and it warns you of the do's and don'ts of using this plan to take off pounds sensibly. It makes it clear that you can use this plan even if your diabetic, and you will be safe. It's not a crash diet and its been talked about on the Doctor Oz show. This book makes it much easier to bring everything together and implement this diet program.

Good attempt at trying to explain the Shred Diet, but needs more work....
Pros: Covers the background, a short summary and some arguments for the Shred DietCons: Didn't really make the Shred Diet simpleAlthough this book makes a valiant attempt to try to explain the Shred Diet by Dr. Ian K Smith, it doesn't reach the goal. This book does provide a quick overview of the diet and arguments for the diet, but it was too quick and confusing for me. After reading the book, I am now even more confused about the Shred diet and how it works.

Great Instructional Guide to Losing Weight
I really liked reading the Simple Shred Diet Made Simple because first the author tells her readers to consult a physician or a doctor before committing to any diet and you get to eat three or four meals per day plus your snacks. I love those kinds of diets!!The book gives a step by step guide to learning to live a healthier lifestyle by a real doctor.I would recommend this book to anyone who wants to lose weight but needs a diet that works!
