Great story. It moves along nicely and has a nice flow. The hero uses real tactics and planning, too! I am looking forward to the next book.

I normally don't bother with feedback if its less than five stars. Writers work their tails off and those stars mean they can write more for us. In this case however I'm going withe four stars because the author certainly has a creative story to tell and spends a lot of effort in creating a world I very much enjoyed spending time in.The problem is that the writing is all over the place. Grammar, punctuation, word choice and prose range from solid to horrid depending on the chapter. A simple word processing program like Grammarly would end ninety percent of the problems.I sincerely hope the author takes the time to either learn to self correct, because those editors charge a fortune, or can afford to spend the money. I'll continue to read the series, I teach and I've seen much worse and can read past the problems.

I haven't finished the book yet, but couldn't help put my current thoughts out. The editing needs work, I usually don't care much about this, but sometimes you don't even know who is talking because quote marks are missed and paragraph breaks are used weirdly. Sometimes I'm not sure if something is being said or is an internal monologue. You can often guess what's going on but the context is difficult to grasp sometimes. Who's the boss, sub commander or first blade?I assume (hope) this is going to be resolved soon, but the MCs simping is getting rough. I get that you like her hips, stop telling me. This is more aimed at the author, but show emotions/feelings through actions, stop just telling me what the character is feeling, it feels really wooden. Maybe the intent is to convey the MCs stunted emotions, but it feels bad.All that said, I am enjoying the book, the system/setting seems interesting, MC is making reasonable decisions, and I see potential for interesting storylines, both immediate and longer term.

Overall, the book was good. But! It needs a very solid round of edits. Repeated words, ungodly use of commas, and run-on sentences. Broke immersion constantly.

Tough MC with military background wakes up to a litrpg apocalypse. Interesting plot and universe. Complex and gritty, but still with a bit of humor and romance. Looking forward to the next in the series!

Good start to a new fantasy apocalypse series. Interesting system & mechanics and great main and supporting characters. Looking forward to reading more of it.

The core of the story is good, the only detractor is how focused some of the female characters are having sex. While it doesn’t go there and an explanation is given, it diminishes their agency and wasn’t really needed in that level of detail.Still look forever to reading the next book

Enjoyed this first book and am looking forward to reading the next one. Very similar to other books in the genre but has enough extras to stand out in my opinion. Will be interesting to see the direction he takes the MC in future books.
