Well thought out, well executed and a tremendous value
I travel quite a bit for work and mostly in Europe. This carry-on is perfectly sized to meet the requirements of all US carriers and most of the tier-one carriers in Europe (e.g., British Airways, KLM, Air France, Lufthansa). The budget airlines like Iberia or Ryan Air use baggage fees as a major source of revenue, so you would need the 19" Aleon carry-on to avoid checking your bag on those flights. This bit of luggage is extremely well made, and its squared-up dimensions maximize volume since there is minimal rounding of corners. What I really love about it is the compression boards that truly hold the contents in place - way better than just the straps that usually come with garden-variety luggage. The compression boards also have zippered mesh storage across their entire areas. So, now if I open the top on a long flight to get something, the contents don't drop out. This bag is well worth the price. I'm thinking about getting the 19" for short trips.

best in class
This is a very well-made case, and very stylish. I am a very frequent flyer and have high expectations that it will be my travel companion for many years. It also has more capacity than I initially thought (but be aware that it is a hard case which means it won’t stretch, so you can't overpack it).I looked at many suitcases before I settled on this one. The Aleon stood out in all comparisons, in terms of the total sum of quality of fabrication, style and price. Also, I had an interaction with the Aleon seller in California regarding a minor issue, and they responded immediately and were super-helpful, which bodes well and makes it all so much more enjoyable. There is a lot of cheaply-made luggage out there, this one is different.

Dissapointed
The design of the bag is beautiful. The positive ends there. When the bag is packed full the handle won’t fully extend. I had to pack and repack to take the pressure off the handle so jay it would extend. The latches stick. I have to work and work to latch and unlatch it. Sometimes I wonder if it will open or close. I bought this because it was recommended in an issue of Condé Nast. I’m massively disapointed.

Nice but not durable
Internally spacious and great as a carry-on for week trips, but after a year and a half the screws are falling out.Cheap stuff is expected to fall apart under regular (ab)use, but a hard case like this should be more durable.

Good as always
The color turned out to be a nice one, thinking about buying one more.

Great Luggage but Even Better Customer Service!
I don’t usually write reviews, but I felt compelled to say a quick thank you to Aleon. I own a 17” under seat in Aluminum, a 21” Classic in Sapphire, and a 2 26” Classics in Ruby and Sapphire. They have all served us well for both work and pleasure.Recently the wheel broke on the 21” piece(old flaw since fixed in new designs)and no sooner had I completed the online warranty form, that I received a call from Jerry in Customer Service. He explained that unfortunately the case couldn’t be repaired, but that they would ship out a new case ASAP. This level of customer service is almost unheard of in this day and age, and I was blown away. I did a lot of research before I took the plunge and purchased my first piece last year. My only regret was not purchasing these cases sooner! If you are on the fence about Aleon, I urge you to check out their products. The quality beats or exceeds luggage 3 times the price, and their customer service and quick response is priceless. Thanks again, Aleon for producing a great line of cases and for the World Class Customer Service. It is greatly appreciated!
