Very versatile - we use them daily for everything from snacks to small meals: one fried egg and a piece of toast fit perfectly! The color is a bright and happy cobalt blue lightened by the white beneath - just a joy to see! Microwavable, super easy to clean, ergonomically friendly to hold. Worth every penny.

Size-wise, these seem almost like oversized saucers than bread plates, but they're certainly large enough for dinner rolls or English muffins. The Blue Italian pattern is classic, and Spode is synonymous with quality. These are really cool. The biggest problem is trying to get the wife to actually USE them (and the rest of the Spode dinner service) instead of sticking them in a hutch to collect dust.

I think these plates are beautiful and of a really good quality. They are bread and butter plates which mean they are smaller than salad plates...think cookie or small pieces of bread. They are made in England and have the consistent quality of pattern that you would expect in an English made verus a Chinese made product. I liked them so much I ordered the little fruit bowls to go with them.

I just started my collection and was so happy with the price and affordability of the blue and white Spode. I plan on ordering more bread and butter plates. Perfect for my morning cookies and coffee!

These plates are exactly as described. They were packaged very well and arrived in perfect condition. I ordered additional ones, which are the same. Mine are marked "Made in England", which was important to me. The size is "bread and butter" plate size: smaller than a salad/dessert plate, slightly larger than a saucer. I'm very happy with my purchase. We use these plates all day long. They helped round out our set of Spode Blue Italian. They are perfect for so many uses, as we don't always need to pull out a large dinner plate. Very happy!

I ordered this size to make my plate wreath. I already collect other pieces from Spode Blue Italian and they fit perfectly on my wreath along with my other order of 3 dip bowls and a cute blue and white ribbon I also ordered on Amazon!
