Somehow I lost my orginal remote. I ordered this remote since it looked exactly like the one I lost and it stated this remote works with Hunter fans. I followed the directions the one thing I would add is that stand very close to the fan in question when linking them.

I expected it to work out of the box. Light worked, Fan did not. Had to do what most men (me included) and refer to instructions. Had to pair fan. Good to go now.

So happy this works with my Hunter Solaria 72” fan. The Solaria comes with a wall remote and based on where it is installed is just not practical. This casablanca universal remote works well with it (and solves the biggest negative reviews of the Solaria model being the wall remote). Easy to pair! I followed other reviewers’ instructions since it didn’t come with any. Cut the circuit breaker of the fan, press ONCE (do not hold) on the pairing button by the batteries, and it makes a noise to indicate it works. Took me 1min. So happy. I might even buy a second for a spare remote! Oh, you do not need to buy a separate receiver. It’s already built into the fan!

Took me a second to realize the pair button was under the battery cover. Instructions weren’t super clear but that wasn’t a big issue. The issue is when I quick press or hold the up or down arrows the fan just changes direction not speed. Speed does not increase or decrease at all. The light button does turn on the light, but it also reverses the fan. So basically this is a useless overpriced piece of junk.

While it is pricey for a very simple remote, it functions as intended. We have a wall switch to control our fan, but it is convenient (especially at night) to have a remote to control fan speeds and light.

I thought I'd write a review because I had some questions and I hope it'll be helpful to list everything here. I have the Costco Hunter 54" Contempo II LED ceiling fan. The remote looked identical to this, except it says Hunter instead of Casablanca. It synced perfectly well, no need for a new receiver or anything like that. All you had to do was cut power to the fun (via a light switch or circuit breaker) then press the button that's inside the battery section within 2 minutes of turning on the power again. And that is it, very easy. I suspect that as long as it's a Hunter or Casablanca Fan you should be good to use this remote even if your original looks different.

I got this because my dog chewed the original. The remote came with batteries and a mounting plate with hardware already, which was great. Pairing with the existing fan was super simple and easy! A little expensive for what the part is but good quality and would recommend.
