Cute
Very clever story with super cute illustrations. The characters are definitely relatable for kids an s even for parents. If I had any critique it might be that the words are a little too small. I had to zoomed in really far to read them. Great book overall.

Great Storybook For Picky Eaters
Carly's is a very picky eater. Her Mom and Dad are always trying to introduce new and healthy foods to Carly but always refuses, sound familiar? After being invited to her best friend's around-the-world-themed birthday bash. Carly begins to grow hungry and realizes that none of her list of foods like French fries and buttered noodles are not on the menu. With the encouragement of her friends she learns that trying new foods can be an exciting and fun experience. This is a delightful story that encourages children to embrace new tastes and cultures. Perfect for young readers, it highlights the joy in discovering new favorites.

a food adventure
This was a nice story I told to my four year old son before his bed time. The story was about a girl, Carly that did not like to try out new foods. She eventually found herself in a position that she wasn’t around her parents and her normal foods were not available. So she had a choice to make as her stomach growled for food and guess what…….she loved all the new food. A nice story of not being afraid to try new foods.

Perfect for my kids
We encourage different types of foods at home and much like Carly in the story, my kids can be picky eaters. I enjoy Katrina's stories and wonderful art selections to carry both the adult reader and the kid listening through different adventures. She not only addressed concerns of eating only carbs, but welcomed foods from different countries as a way to expand one's mind and palette. Great book to read with the kids!

Encouraging kids to try new foods
Many kids will be able to relate to Carly. Trying new foods can be a challenge for some adults too. Just like rock climbing can be scary, it can be scary to kids, especially those who have sensory sensitivities, to eat a different kind of food. The smells and textures can be unique. In many places, it can be hard to find a diverse menu, so without frequent exposure to new flavors from other cultures, it can be hard to get kids to try something new. I love the foods that were highlighted in the story. They are delicious foods, and this book is a great way to introduce young ones to eating something different.

Great way to introduce new foods and cultures to kids
I love the theme for this book— to get kids to try and experience different types of foods and flavors. On top of it, this book also introduces kids to different cultures and foods associated with each country. My daughter loved this book and I look forward to reading this to my son when it’s time for him to start solids and eat real food!
