Reich 1285584IV Excellent View Clip-On Towing Mirror

Bought a pair to fit on a 2016 VW Amarok. The quality seems excellent and the way they fit seems like a great idea. However, as the Amarok has large deep mirrors the straps were on their extreme length of adjustment and the shape of the Amarok's mirror meant that only one of the top straps tensioned therefore only two of the four cushion pads were in contact with the Amarok's mirror back which allowed the clip on towing mirrors to rock back and fourth. I did try adjusting the loose strap onto the next index setting, but this still only allowed one strap to tension up.Shutting the door twice loosened the mirror as it started to slide outwards following the tapered shape of the Amarok's mirror housing.The other issue I found was with the near side mirror (see photo). As the mount moved the mounting bar so far forward, it was impossible to position or adjust the mirror without loosing the bottom quarter of the viewing area - which is a key area allowing you to see the nearside caravan road wheels.If you door mirrors are fairly flat and shallow I can see this mounting method working really well.I have contacted Amazon/Seller requesting a return and refund.

Have tried several other types of mirror and didn't like them much always poor vision. These mirrors are very good vision but unfortunately very fiddly to fit. It took me about 30 mins to make it fit my Sportage mirror. The straps fall off so you have to re-fit them. There are little suckers fixed in the straps to protect your mirrors, these keep falling out. They are very adjustable and should fit most car mirrors.

Good mirror stayed on, no vibrations used on a 2014 Freelancer 2. Be aware this is only a single mirror you will need to purchase two for a pair.

Found these a little tricky to use they keep dropping when on car and we have to keep tightening them .

Great value for money

Used the mirrors for first time. Excellent! Have previously used more expensive aero mirrors which vibrated and eventually fell off. The Reich mirrors are easy to fit and adjust. No vibration, so a clear view behind. Would recommend.

We had tried 3 sets of different mirrors, which kept falling off our zaferia16 plate. These were a perfect fito. Easy to put on and steady/ secure when towing. Good field of vision.

Excellent product, replacement for an existing Reich so already tried and tested. Robust and easy to fit and easily detachable. Mirror was broken by courier but replaced next day service. Perfect.
