Nice Simple Roof Bars, But Not Anti-Theft
I got these to go on my 2018 Jeep WK2 Limited. I really like them overall and think that they look pretty good for a set of roof bars. The install wasn't bad, though a little aggravating at times, but nothing to really complain about. They seem plenty sturdy enough for just a set of basic roof bars. Considering that the factory roof rails on a WK2 aren't that great and can't hold very much because of how they are mounted, then these cross bars will definitely support everything the roof rails are capable of. The only complaint that I have is that Nilight advertises them as anti theft when they are absolutely not in any way whatsoever! The locks in the end caps are 100% completely useless and for looks. You can literally throw away the 4 keys they give you because the locks do absolutely nothing. You do not have to unlock or remove them in anyway for install or removal of the cross bars. All you need to, install, remove, or steal these cross bars is an allen wrench. The actual aluminum cross rails on this set are the same cross rails used on all of their cross bars for all different vehicles and all they do is swap out the mounting bracket accordingly. Therefore my theory is that they probably do work on some other set for some other vehicle. However instead of making a whole new plain nonlockable end cap for these, they just used the lockable ones that they already have, try to pass them off as being lockable anti-theft and save manufacturing cost. Which I could completely understand if they would just explain that and not try to pass them off as anti-theft when they absolutely are not. I find that to be quite lowly and deceptive, and therefore deducted a star for that reason. I'm actually quite shocked and disappointed in Nilight because I've gotten several products from them and find them to usually be a good reputable company. Other than the deceptive claim and sells tactic, I really do like these cross bars overall. They do look good, are well made, and fit nicely. I would still recommend them as plain nonlockable cross bars.

Fit for a Crosstrek
Bottom Line Up Front (BLUF): Nearly OEM fit with secure torx-style screws, these cross bars are a solid choice for hauling long items like lumber, though check for all parts upon arrival. These cross bars are a close match to the OEM fit and come with a special torx-style screw for added security. I purchased them mainly to haul long items that don’t fit inside my car, and they’ve done the job well.Assembly is straightforward—just follow the instructions. You’ll need to loosely assemble all the pieces first, place them on your car, adjust to the correct width, and then tighten the screws to secure them to the roof rail. The cross bars come with rubber pads to protect your roof rails, though I only received three instead of four. However, customer service was responsive and sent out a replacement within a week.

I FINALLY GOT THEM ON...BUT ARE THEY SAFE?????
I requested and received for free this NILIGHT ROOF RACK FOR 2014 TO 2023 SUBARU FORESTER to test it and give my honest opinion. After more than two hours of climbing up and down my ladder over the car, walking side to side, front and back of my car, reaching up through my sunroof I finally got these crossbars attached to my 2020 Subaru Forester. THE FRONT BAR APPEARS TO BE about four inches too close to the front of the car (it can't move forward or back BECAUSE IT IS ONLY ABLE TO BE ATTACHED INSIDE THE FACTORY RAIL ATTACHMENT SPOT!!) and the back bar APPEARS TO BE about four to six inches too close to the front/middle of the car. Since the factory roof rails on the Forester taper from being wide in the front to being narrow in the back there is only a tiny area these crossbars can fit using the space that the brackets can slide open or close and be adjusted to (about an inch slot the screw can slide left or right to make the crossbars SLIGHTLY longer or shorter. It actually ONLY ONE POSSIBLE AREA THEY WILL ATTACH if the slot is set to the SHORTEST SPACE FOR THE SHORTEST LENGTH. These cross bars are about an inch or two TOO LONG. The front cross bar attaches as the factory rails start to slope down toward the windshield and the rear crossbar is touching another of the factory support spots where the factory rail gets attached to the Forester roof (the next wider attachment spot would be after this factory rail support and then WAY TOO CLOSE to the middle/front of the car). MAYBE I am doing something wrong, but the direction are minimal (lacking might be a better word) so I finally screwed down the crossbars to the ONLY SPOT they would fit with them set to their minimum length. I will now drive around for a week and see if everything is holding tight. If everything is still tight (but sloping down toward the windshield) I MAY TRY attaching a five foot patio deck board or a six foot ladder and drive around to test it. For most people I would NOT suggest you buy this item unless you have and are really good with a MIG WELDER. After all this, I now notice there was not a single review from anyone that got these to use on a Forester.

Great roof racks
Although these roof racks are well made of extruded aluminum the rubber seal/scratch guard on top is a total pain in the you know what. They have lockable end caps to protect those valuable items on top.In order to locate and tighten the installation fasteners, you need to pull back the rubber protection strip. That is easy. Getting the strip back in is the issue. Minus a start there.I actually cut holes in the strip and placed rubber plugs in the holes over the fastener heads as I was done fighting the strip.I've used them several times carrying 4x4 lumber and are doing great.

Great fit, work wonderfully
These are a great fit onto our 2022 Jeep Wrangler, they are easy to install and they stay in place very well with no fault. They can be installed by one person, two is helpful but not necessary! Everything needed to install them is included as well as easy to follow, well written instructions! They are very durable and sturdy, hold up great with luggage on top, kayaks or anything else you may carry on top! Great value and highly recommend getting!
