This was a gift for my sister. She loved it so much she ordered one for her daughter-in-law.

LOVE this book but do like the book before this one better! Am so looking forward to trying all these beautiful stitches! Have been enlisted to give a crochet class at the apartment complex where I live! Have started making caps for charity for use when it is sooo cold! Love crochet!

I bought this book as a present for my daughter. I liked it so much, I kept it and ordered her another one. It provides clear instructions with pictures for the basic and advanced crochet techniques. It contains all the basic stitches, creative crochet designs, edging and projects for the beginner and expert. I have basically taught myself to crochet using this book. It is such a great book, I also bought the Encyclopedia of Knitting and Encyclopedia of Sewing. I highly recommend this book for anyone who needs a reference book for crocheting.

This looks like an excellent book. I haven't had the time to read through it but there are a few stitches in here that I've been meaning to try. I own a lot of crochet books but I was still pleased with the variety in here. The pictures are excellent and the steps are well explained in the bits I browsed through. I would suggest this to a newbie crocheter, or even an intermediate one.

Most crocheters are hopeless romantics because we easily fall in love with a good-looking book cover! This book will not cure us for it looks good, is good on the onside! The directions, illustrations, and graphics are excellent. Has how to crochet stitches as well as the newer symtbol stitch representations. Symbols are easier to recognize than in other crochet books have read. Try to purchase the hard cover as you will want to heirloom book.

The book is good quality with great pictures and instructions. Would be a wonderful gift for a beginner. I was a little disappointed because I was expecting to learn more advanced techniques. Also, the book included just a few patterns.

I was expecting some sort of glossary, something that would help new crochet fans. I have been crocheting for nearly 70 years, so I didn't need to know for myself, I wanted to share with my church group.

This copy is American and they have different names for their stitches. No good to me which is a shame as the book itself is great. I had to buy an English version from another seller

This book was recommended to me and it meets all the requirements necessary for educating a beginner to this art. Can't put it down and learning fast.
