We bought this trainer do that our 9 yo nephew could practice is shooting with a pass to himself. He was initially not interested until we pulled the cars out of the garage to increase the shooting distance. He now uses the passer to shoot about 18 to 20 feet from the his goal.The passer is durable and works well with the “ green biscuit” hockey discs

Works great and not made in communist china.Passes have to be perfectly flat or the puck hits the frame above the bungee and the puck doesn't come back. Most passes are not perfectly flat so many do not come back. A design improvement would be to make the opening higher and add another bungee so there is a second bungee above the current bungee.

The bands could be a bit wider. If you use a biscuit and it hops at all it will go into the unit. I gave it 5 stars for “light weight” because it’s heavy and solid, which is what you want when throwing hard passes for a quick return. I scored thickness lower because the bands are essentially bungee cords so any movement on the puck will mess you up. Every third pass gets stuck, so I’d recommend the triangles that I’ve seen with the thicker bands.

Purchased it for my son to train at home. He loves it! Can be used on or off the ice.

Passes are quick, passer is heavy - can't wait to use it on real ice!

Great for at home work outs!

The product is too flimsy, won't rebound the puck. If you shoot the puck, it moves and doesn't rebound it (not even for our 9yo). The only way we can get it to work at all is we put something on it to weigh it down.

High quality, good value, and it’s excellent practice for a new hockey player!
