This Ice Maker is So Cool!!
Awesome product!! We have been getting amazingly clear cubes since we began - 5 runs in and looking absolutely incredible! For real - lol! I have the first batch of 2" cubes - fist sized! - freezing now. Super easy if you follow the directions. It was tricky to get the cubes out at first, but we learned how to do it pretty quickly. Beautiful cubes - crisp, sharp edges, clear enough to read through. Our freezer is colder, so we get a scant few trapped bubbles, but this ice is SO COOL!!! You can read through it it's so cool. It's definitely a hands-on job and a small bit of work, but worth it if you want clear, beautiful ice cubes.

Perfectly clear ice!
I am very happy with my purchase. I have already made a couple batches of perfectly clear cubes (no cloudiness at all) - both the large and smaller cubes. It was very easy to do by following the directions included with my purchase. It took about 18 hours in my freezer, but that may vary some depending on the freezer you use. I removed it from the freezer when there was still some water below the cube mold, but the cubes were completely frozen. There are a lot of clear ice options out there, but this one has many great reviews and works exactly how I would expect. In fact, I am so pleased with it, I just purchased the spears mold to go with the large and small cube molds I bought originally. If you’re looking for a way to elevate your craft cocktails by using clear ice, I would highly recommend this product.

Works pretty well but not without a drawback
Works very well to create nearly clear ice but if you don't time it perfectly and leave it in the freezer too long, it's troublesome breaking off the ice on the bottom of the mold. I dont care for the process of making them but I like the cubes so I'll endure the task of removing the ice from the bottom of the mold..

Quality tool
I have made both the 1.3” cubes and the 2” cubes. Both were highly successful. I own two of the ATK winner 4 cube maker with the gray hard shell and blue silicone. I have had zero problems so far following manufacturer recommendations. I just wanted something better suited to high volume output for a few home users. One of this device makes 2.5 times the output of ATK winner. I have a shallow well with water softener. This results in higher sediment water. As with all directional freezing tools I have the best success using boiled water. I have made two batches in the clearlyfrozen device. The boiled water was crystal clear. The tap water had fine streaky air bubbles. I advise waiting for boiled water to cool before adding to the tray. Hot water has caused my hard plastic tray to bow outward on the long edge slightly. The foam tray isn’t intended to hold pressure against the plastic tray. Update 1/15/26 : My insulation tub eventually became too damaged to use and I emailed the company and was immediately shipped a free replacement. Great customer support!

Beautifully clear ice
Perfectly clear ice, first try. No mess, easy to use. Now if only they had a 1” cube for smaller glasses!

Just incredible!
I chose this 1.3" and 2" combo set based on the ratings and the good words about the small business owner. Making clear ice was as simple as filling it to the desired height and setting it in my freezer for a little over 24 hours. Pulling out the tray and looking down into it, I could see straight through to the bottom of the tray! Even a portion of the ice underneath was clear, which is remarkable. I was prepared to use distilled water and have some trial and error, but tap water and one try was all it took to get perfectly clear 1.3" cubes! I was so excited that I forgot to take pictures until I did my 2" cube batch. See for yourself - perfection! I also appreciated that the owner sent a message with detailed instructions of what to do and what not to do. That was a nice touch that you don't see often. If you want clear ice and great customer service, look no further than here!

Makes good ICE, manufacturing defects, not sure I am going to keep. (UPDATE: Did not keep it)
THE GOOD: Let me begin by saying I came across this brand reading various reviews, and they weren't wrong. It makes close to clear ice as possibly with out having to make blocks of ice and sawing them perfectly. The 2 inch cubes I tried first came out close to perfect (minus a strange oblong bubble that formed across 6 of the 10 ice blocks; nevertheless, it could have been in the water itself when I put it there so no sweat, the blocks came out good. and the bubble only affected the corners of the 6 ice blocks where it formed. Again, great looking ice cubes! UPDATE: So after taking out the second mold try out, there were some blue rubbers pieces embedded in a few of the cubes. I washed the mold before putting it in the plastic tub. I figure out that the mold had some upright remnants of plastic around the area where the holes were created (extra rubber?) and that once the ice was made and I pushed the cubes out, it ripped out some of the plastic. I am not sure if this will have a effect functionally, but at this time I am leaning towards returning it and getting another kit; my guess is this batch went wrong during manufacturing. THE BAD: The manufacturing leaves a LOT to be desired, and if it weren't for the good ice cubes it made, I would have returned it today (received yesterday)! I am enclosing pictures below. First, the outer casing foam insulator has two strange waves in the bottom, not sure they are suppose to be part of the design, it does not affect the stability as much, but it is bothering me (see picture). In addition, when you put the plastic water basin in, it has a strange bow out on the sides (again, see picture) Second, the plastic layer has signs of stress in the corners, they weren't there when I got them, but upon removing the first ice cubes, they clearly appeared. I don't know how long are these suppose to last but assuming they last me a couple of times, ice will be very expensive at 50+ dollars a kit. (see pictures) I am trying to make the second mold ice (smaller ice cubes) and if the plastic stressed corners get worse or the bow outward in the edges of the foam get worse I will definitely return it. For now I am giving it a fair 3 stars (5 for ice, 1 for manufacturing for an average of 3 stars)

Every other clear ice mold I have tried fails miserably so I had reverted to freezing solid blocks in my mini-cooler, which works great but requires a lot of work to then cut it down into usable cubes. Happily, this product works really well, makes nice clear ice cubes in decent volume and in a fairly space efficient package. Would recommend as a user-friendly alternative to freezing full blocks.
